A/N BEFORE THE CHAPTER BEGINS:

I am completely aware that Quackity is Mexican, not American, and I respect that! I said that he was American in this chapter because the plot of the SMP kind of groups him with the Americans for America vs Europe purposes. I hope you understand! Also, some of the plot of this arc was tweaked by me. Combination of not knowing what happened and not having the time and energy to explain more than I had to. So that's why some parts of the story are a little off. Anyway, we now return you to your previously scheduled program.

L'Manburg continued to grow. Over the next few months, the young nation welcomed many new members, some of which were even American (To Wilbur and Tommy's dismay). Even though this was supposed to be an all-European country, Nessa and Tubbo thought it was only fair to let new people in if they wanted to join.

One quiet afternoon, not long after a few new members had joined L'Manburg, Wilbur rushed into Nessa's w̶e̶a̶p̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶r̶o̶o̶m̶ office and scared the shit out of her. "Wilbur!" she shouted angrily. "I was reading! You'd better have a good reason for scaring me half to death."

Wilbur leaned against the wall. "I do have a goor reason. I'm going to run for president!" Nessa shot him a look. "Wilby, you're already  president." "Oh, I know!" responded Wilbur.

Not taking her eyes off her big brother, Nessa grabbed the phone that she used to call the other offices and dialed in a number. "Tommy, help. I think he's high."

Once Tommy had made his way to Nessa's office, the two teens stood in front of the president as he told them his plan. "You see, I know I'm technically  the president of L'Manburg, but we've never had an actual election. I thought it would be cool if I could actually be elected as the president."

Tommy nodded, but Nessa said "Wouldn't there be the risk of other candidates? You could potentially be thrown out of power." Wilbur grinned. "I've already come up with a plan for that. I'm going to keep my campaign secret until the day of the election. That way, no one else will be able to run against me!"

"Wilby, I don't think that's how democracy works." said Nessa, stifling a giggle. Wilbur jumped onto a chair and posed like he was Alexander Hamilton. "Well, that's how it works in our fucked up country!"

Nessa nodded. "Well then, I guess it's settled. Are you going to have a running mate?" Wilbur nodded and turned to Tommy. "Tommyinnit, will you run for vice president in my campaign?" Tommy's eyes widened and he nodded.

Then Wilbur turned to Nessa. "Nessa, I'd like you to be our campaign manager. You can be a bit of a crackhead at times, but you have good ideas." The hybrid nodded, her tail tip twitching with pleasure. "Alright then." she said. "We should get started planning our campaign."

Just then, someone burst into the room. Nessa threw down the papers she had just picked up and threw her hands up in exasperation. "Has anyone in this godforsaken country ever heard of knocking?" she cried.

The person who had just interrupted their conversation was Quackity, one of the new American members of L'Manburg. (READ MY A/N AT THE START OF THE CHAPTER!) "I want to run for president." he said, out of breath from running to the office.

Wilbur looked alarmed. "Wha- how did you know about this?" Quackity looked a little bit ashamed. "Well..." Nessa glared at him. "You were eavesdropping, weren't you." She said it as more of a statement than a question.

"That's not the point!" said Quackity, changing the subject. "Point is, I'm launching a campaign against you." Tommy looked at him skeptically. "Oh, really." he said, smirking at the shorter male. Quackity nodded. "Yes. I am. And you can't stop me." With that, he turned and walked out of the room.

Nessa put her head down on her desk and groaned. "We're doomed." she whined, her voice muffled by her arms. Wilbur looked serious. "I'm calling an emergency meeting of all the citizens. I have a feeling we've gotten ourselves into a bit of a mess."
