(Welcome to another episode of... *drumrolls violently* Nico was feeling depressed by the plot and therefore decided to make another random filler chapter!)

After they had made the TNT room, Nessa, Tommy, and wilbur headed back to Pogtopia. When they got back, Nessa went to her bedroom and collapsed on her bed. Everything was going horribly. On the walk home, Wilbur had announced that all of his plans were ready to go. They could blow it all up on the day of the festival. Techno completely supported this plan, which wasn't any help. And on top of all that, life was just depressing. Nessa felt crappy, so she decided that a little sleep might help. She closed her eyes and slowly drifted off into an uneasy sleep.

(TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE BROWN M&M)

When Nessa woke up, she felt a lot better. Sleep had cleared her head, and she no longer felt like murdering everyone else in a 5 mile radius. She rolled out of bed and went out into Pogtopia. She walked toward what had become the dining room, and found Wilbur already there, eating a baked potato.

"I swear, we haven't eaten anything other than potatoes in months." she muttered. Wilbur looked up and nodded. "Yeah. They're our main and only source of food." Nessa laughed. "I've noticed that. Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about an idea that I had."

Wilbur nodded and motioned for her to sit down. "What's the idea?" he asked as Nessa sat down and grabbed a potato. "Well," she started, "I was thinking, we're probably gonna go to war soon. And if we're gonna be battling, we're going to get injured. But we don't have the right supplies to treat an injured person. But, and you guys don't know this, I can do a pretty good amount of plant medicine. Like, I can heal people with plants. Not healing plants-"

She shook her head to get herself back on track. "Anyway, I thought I could make a garden with a bunch of plants that I could use to treat injuries. Also, some of them might give us food that isn't potatoes." Wilbur nodded. "That's a good idea. Do you need any help planting it?" Nessa shook her head. "Nah, I think I'm good. Thanks!" She scarfed down the rest of her potato and ran off to make her garden.

The first thing she did was sit down at her desk and make a list of plants she needed and their purposes. This is what she came up with:

(Skip this part if you don't want to watch me just ramble about plants!)

Aloe for wounds and burns, comfrey for sprains, bruises, fractures, and helping wounds heal, lemon balm for anxiety and insomnia, because dear god they had a lot of those, lavender for stress and burns, calendula for cuts, swelling, and scrapes, witch hazel for cleaning and healing wounds, linded for panic attacks (with the level of PTSD these people have, it's better to be safe than sorry!), yarrow for cleaning wounds, arnica for sprains, thyme for aches, chickweed for infection and inflammation, lamb's ear to stop bleeding, mustard for pain and bleeding, nettle because it was something to eat other than potatoes, plantain for wounds and damaged tissues, and echinacea for infections.

Now that Nessa knew which plants she needed, she was ready to start gathering. She went out onto the platform outside the bedrooms and popped her head into Tommy's room. "Oi, Tommy! Can you help me dig up a bunch of plants?" Tommy glared at her. "What's in it for me?"

Nessa smirked. "Food that isn't potatoes."

Tommy's head shot up. "I'm in." he said quickly. Nessa practically deflated with laughter.

The two grabbed a big wagon that they used to transport supplies and headed outside. They spent all morning walking around the server, digging up a bunch of plants to replant. By early afternoon, they had a wagon full of plants. They started the walk back to Pogtopia, taking turns hauling the wagon behind them. Who knew a bunch of dirt could be so heavy?

Once they made it back to the ravine, they left the wagon outside. Walking down to the bottom of Pogtopia, they grabbed some shovels and started to dig. Eventually, they had dug out a large hole in the side of the ravine, kind of like a cave, that opened out directly onto the rest of the ravine. "Now we've gotta figure out how to get those plants down here." Nessa said, putting her hands on her hips.

After a lot of arguing, they ended up carrying the plants down the stairs one by one and planting them. Finally, after 2 hours, they were done. Nessa led Tommy around the garden and told him all the names of the plants and what they do. Once they had finished, she asked "Any questions?"

Tommy nodded and pointed to a patch of purple flowers near the back of the room. "You never talked about those ones. What do they do?"

Nessa blushed a bit. "Oh, those are allium. They don't really do anything, they just... remind me of a friend I used to have." Tommy looked at her. "You never told me you had friends before me and Tubbo!" he said. Nessa crossed her arms. "It was one friend. And I haven't seen him in years, anyway."

She shifted her focus back to the garden. "Anyway, now I might be able to cook us food that isn't potatoes!" Tommy laughed. "You? Cooking? That sounds like a recipe for disaster." And that's how a teenager ended up chasing her brother through a ravine with a sword.
