(Very creative and poetic chapter title, I know.)
Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, Nessa, and Fundy were gathered outside the walls of their country, waiting for Dream and George. (Ah, yes. Remember when George was actually awake for stuff? Okay, I'll stop with the sarcastic commentary now.) After ten minutes or so of waiting, Fundy said "Do you really think they're gonna show up?" Just then, Dream and George came into view, answering Fundy's question.
When the two SMP members reached L'Manburg, they nodded to Wilbur. Dream placed down a single block of TNT and lit a torch. He looked up at Wilbur. "This is your last chance, Wilbur. Are you sure you don't want to surrender?"
Wilbur laughed in response. "Come on, boys. " he said to his battalion, motioning for them to step back. "We won't let a single block of TNT have any effect on us." Everyone stepped back as Dream lit the TNT.
At first, nothing unusual happened. The TNT exploded, destroying everything within a small radius of it. But then, something happened. The small explosion set off another explosion. And another. And another. Pretty soon, everything around then was exploding.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Tubbo and Nessa cried in unison.
"The Declaration of Independance." gasped Wilbur as another explosion went off. "Tommy, go save the Declaration!" "But-" Tommy stammered, not wanting to risk his life for the sake of a book. "NOW!" Wilbur shouted. Tommy took a step back. He had never heard this much anger, fear, and panic in his brother's voice before.
"Ugh, we don't have time for this!" shouted nessa in an exasperated tone. "I'll get it!" Before anyone could object, she ran into the exploding chaos. When she reached the Hto Dog Van, she ran inside, grabbed the Declaration of Independance, and ran back out again in record time. (*cues speedrunning music*)
When Nessa reached the others, Tommy said "Um, this would probably be a good time to the very convenient bunker that I built under L'manburg." He walked forward 50 yards or so and opened a trap door in the ground to reveal a ladder leading downward.
"What- How- When did you make this?" asked Wilbur. "There's no time for questions!" shouted Tommy as an explosion went off about 20 feet away from them. "Everyone in, now!" They all descended down the ladder to escape certain doom, shocked by what they had just witnessed.
