As the five reached the bottom of the ladder, they found themselves in a small stone room. "Tommy, now that we're not in immediate danger, I'll ask again. When did you build this?" Wilbur said. "A few weeks ago." responded Tommy. "I figured we were probably going to be on the run for a few days at some point, so I built this." He looked around at the rest of his army. "And we certainly needed it."

He was right. If it weren't for this bunker, who knows if they would have made it out alive. Plus, they were all in horrible shape. Everyone was covered in burns, scrapes, and ash. Nessa's tail, Tubbo's hair, Tommy's hat, Wilbur's jacket, and the fur on Fundy's ears were all either singed or still on fire.

Nessa set the Declaration of Independance down on the floor. "They must have planned this in advance." she said. "How else could they have had all that TNT under L'Manburg?" Wilbur looked at her. "But the only person who could have possibly put all that under there..." "Is Eret." Nessa said, finishing Wilbur's sentence. She punched the wall with rage, and then immediately regretted it.

Clutching her arm, she said "He must have planted TNT under the ground before he betrayed us. Fuckin' bastard" "THAT LITTLE-" Tommy started, but Tubbo cut him off, knowing that they all probably didn't need to hear all of the words Tommy was about to say. Everyone waited and listened until the explosions stopped. Then Wilbur stood up, looking determined. "I'm going to attempt to talk to Dream. This is the final straw."

Tommy stood up to follow him, but Wilbur shook his head. "You're staying behind, Tommy. This could be dangerous, and I don't want you to get hurt." Tommy glared at his older brother. "I don't care what you say, Will. I'm your right hand man. I should go."

After the two argued for a few minutes, Wilbur sighed. "Fine. You can come. Just please, be quiet. I don't want you saying something stupid and getting us all in trouble. Understood?" Tommy nodded, and the two headed towards the ladder.

Nessa instinctively stood up to follow them, but Wilbur held up his hand. "Nope. I already let Tommy come, and I'm not going to risk the life of another one of my men." Nessa made a pouty face, but she sat back down as Wilbur and Tommy went up the ladder.

As soon as they were out of the bunker, though, she jumped up. "I'm following them, no matter what they say. Stay here." she said to Tubbo and Fundy, who nodded. She hoisted herself up the ladder and took off after her two brothers, being careful to stay out of sight. She followed them all the way to Dream's base, where she hid behind a rock to listen to their conversation.

"Dream." she heard Wilbur say. "You blew up our country. That's an act of tyranny." Dream laughed. "You think I care? I will go to ANY MEASURES to make sure you don't become an independent country." "WHY, YOU LITTLE-" Tommy yelled, making Nessa flinch at the sudden loud noise.

Peeking around the corner of the rock a little bit, she saw that Tommy had stepped forward towards Dream. "YOU LISTEN HERE, GREEN BOY..." Tommy went on to yell at Dream about how horrible he was, talking so fast it all sounded like one word. "Tommy." Wilbur tried to say over the noise. But Tommy was shouting too loudly to hear his brother. "Tommy." he tried again. When this didn't work, Wilbur grabbed Tommy's arm and pulled him backward. "Tommy, calm."

Tommy glared at Wilbur and stepped forward again. "You know what, Dream? I'm not going to put up with you any longer. I challenge you to a duel."

Nessa had to cover her mouth to avoid gasping, and Wilbur did gasp. Then Dream spoke, sounding amused. "Okay, Tommyinnit. I accept your challenge. What are the conditions?" Tommy spoke again, his voice shaking but determined. "One week from today. Dawn. A bow duel. First to hit the other wins."

Nessa couldn't see Dream's face, but she could tell he was amused. "Alright. If you win, I'll grant your little 'country' independence. But if I win, you all surrender to the Greater SMP." he paused for a second.

"Oh, and I get Mellohi."

Nessa nearly gasped again. Mellohi was a music disk, and it was one of Tommy's most prized possessions. Before L'Manburg started, when Nessa, Tommy and Tubbo were twelve, they had fought a mini-war against Dream for ownership of the discs.

As Nessa sank down on the ground behind her rock, Nessa heard Dream's footsteps walk away. Then Wilbur spoke. "Tommy, what were you thinking? You've just single-handedly doomed us all!" But this was the least of Nessa's concerns.

Forgetting that she wasn't technically supposed to be there, she ran out from behind the rock. "You'll get yourself killed!" she cried, stopping in front of Tommy. Tommy looked startled to see her there, but his tone was serious. "I'll be fine. I can win this duel, and I'll win us our independence." The young teen sounded determined.

Wilbur pinched the bridge of his nose. "You're both in so much trouble. Come on. Let's go tell the others about the mess that you've gotten us all into."

Whew. That was a nightmare to retype into my laptop. Also, I do not recommend trying to change the ink ribbon on a typewriter, deliriously, in the middle of the night. It will go poorly.
