When Luna got a call from Alex asking for her help with studying for his test, the brunette gladly accepted the offer.

The girl was relieved to know that she didn't make things awkward by telling him how much she enjoyed being around him. Luna knew she was only thinking ahead, but getting that phone call gave her the relief she needed.

Plus, it gave her something to do on a Saturday afternoon.

Luna grabbed her backpack, wallet, and keys as she walked out of her bedroom, making her way down the hallway and being met with her mother in the dining room.

Shannon was sitting at the table, piles of mail around her as she blankly looked at one of them in her hands.

The woman looked stressed, her eyebrows knitted together in thought as she tightly gripped the paper with her fingers. That look was all too familiar to the young teenager.

Luna tilted her head, examining her mother and watching her stress wrinkles become more prominent.

"You okay?" Luna thought to ask, making Shannon look up from the paper.

"Yeah." the woman sighed.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm fine." Shannon smiled at her daughter as she leaned back in her chair. "These bills are just kicking my ass. Monthly payments are starting to go up."

"Why?"

"I'm not sure." She answered truthfully, resisting the urge to put her head in her hands and pull at her hair. "I was barely able to get by with the payments as it is, but now it's gonna be impossible."

Luna sat down across from the woman, feeling genuinely concerned for her. It was a lot to handle for Shannon, especially on her own. She didn't have a husband to take care of her and Luna. The two were all by themselves, and Shannon was starting to realize how much this was affecting her.

The teen was quiet, watching as her mom eyed the papers and continuously tapped the small buttons on a calculator.

Luna let out a sigh.

"Maybe we should move somewhere cheaper." She suggested, making Shannon look up at her.

"I mean, there isn't anything keeping us here." Luna shrugged. "We should probably consider it."

The girl would've never brought this up if the situation was completely different. If she grew up here, she wouldn't ever want to leave the only place she knew, but that wasn't the case. If Peter was still in the picture, there was no way Luna would even consider the possibility of moving.

But now, Luna actually wouldn't mind taking up Tony's advice on leaving and starting new. It wouldn't be the worst thing for her to do.

Of course Luna still had her friends to think about, but their friendship wouldn't change if she moved a few cities over, possibly even further than that.
