Luna Pearce didn't have the motivation to do anything anymore.
Her days consisted of doing absolutely nothing, which soured her mood even more whenever somebody tried to talk to her. The girl was lying still on her bed as she stared at the ceiling above her. The curtains were drawn shut which prevented any ounce of light from seeping through. Luna didn't want to see the outside world, not anymore. It was only filled with emptiness and anger, and Luna already felt both of those things.
Ever since everything happened, the girl couldn't bring herself to get out of bed everyday. She saw no point on even trying to step outside and face everyone. She couldn't do it, so she didn't.
Luna didn't know if she would be able to handle seeing how sad everyone was. Every individual lost at least one person they loved and cared about, so it was damn near impossible to see anyone who was in high spirits.
The world was a mess.
Luna was a mess.
All she did was stay locked up in her room, not being interested in socializing with anyone. She didn't get dressed or look presentable. The girl didn't even know the last time she washed her own hair. None of that concerned her though, so she chose not to dwell on it. Nothing concerned her anymore.
This was how life was now.
"Hey there."
Luna pulled the covers from her face, her brown eyes squinting as she tried to see who stepped into her bedroom. The room was fairly dark, so her vision wasn't giving her much luck.
Luna sighed once she saw the red hair.
Aubrey gave a weak smile as she took in Luna's appearance. It was exactly how she expected her to be.
"What are you doing here?" Luna seemed uninterested.
"Your mom let me in." The redhead pointed back. "I figured you could use some company."
"Not really." Luna blankly answered.
Aubrey let out another sigh, already expecting Luna to shut her out.
It was nearly impossible to get a hold of Luna after everything happened. People were scared and devastated after losing the ones they loved most, so the redhead was certain that Luna was having a hard time with the whole situation.
Everyone was having a hard time.
"Come on," Aubrey walked closer to the bed, reaching over and pulling the covers from Luna's shivering body. "Let's go get some coffee. My treat."
"I don't feel like going anywhere." Luna mumbled.
There was really no point on even trying to be productive, mostly because all the cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores were closed due to the fact that the world basically went to shit. Nothing was going to open back up again until they knew what was going on.
