It was late by the time Happy got the teenager home. The man always found it difficult to get her to leave the facility without her putting up a fight. All she wanted to do was keep working until they figured out a complete plan, but things never work out the way you want them to.

Luna said her goodbyes to Happy as she walked into the lobby of her apartment building. The girl couldn't help but notice how quiet the streets were now. Everyone was too afraid to step out of their homes to go outside, being too scared that something could happen at any moment.

The girl didn't blame them.

That's just how things were now.

Luna was mentally exhausted, but she knew that she wouldn't be getting any sleep tonight. That's how it was every single night since all of this happened.

No matter how tired she was, sleep just wasn't something that was possible for her right now.

Luna walked out of the elevator as she flipped through her keys, and much to her surprise, she spotted her good friend Ned Leeds anxiously waiting by her front door.

The boy's eyes filled with relief as he saw Luna approach him.

"Where have you been?" His voice was on edge. "I've been calling you."

"Sorry," Luna replied quietly. "I haven't been on my phone." She told him. "How long have you been waiting out here?"

"An hour."

Luna unlocked the door and walked inside, Ned following right behind her. The girl wasn't in the mood to talk, but she knew Ned must've had a lot of questions. It felt like years since she's last seen him.

"What's going on?" Ned was quick to ask. "I've been trying to get a hold of you for weeks now."

It was true.

Luna couldn't bring herself to talk to any of her friends since this whole thing happened. She shut everyone out and refused to talk to anybody. It made her feel so guilty for doing that to her closest friends, but it was something that just naturally happened.

"I just wanted to be alone."

It was all Luna thought of to say as she set her bag and keys down on the kitchen counter.

"We all needed space Luna." Ned shook his head. "I get that, but you can't be ignoring my calls when I want to know what's going on too."

"Ned," Luna sighed as she rubbed her head. "I don't know what's going on either."

"Yes you do." Ned didn't believe her. "I know you've been going to the Avengers facility. I'm not stupid."
