Luna rapidly knocked on the wooden door with heavy food bags in both of her arms, waiting impatiently for some assistance before her arms would finally give out.

It was a spontaneous decision for Luna to randomly go to the diner down the block from her apartment and pick out almost every single thing on the menu. Once she left, she finally realized that she may have went a little overboard, but it was well over too late.

The girl rushed over as fast as she could before anything got cold, and she managed to make it there in less than 10 minutes.

Luna was greeted by May who finally answered the door, being surprised at the teenager who showed up unexpectedly.

"I brought food!" Luna cheered as she held up a bag, happily swinging it from side to side.

May let out a dry chuckle as she took some bags, stepping aside and allowing Luna to come in.

"What are you doing here?" May wondered as Luna set everything down on the table. "I thought you had school today."

"Half day today." The girl shrugged, taking all the food out from the plastic bags.

"You should've called." May sighed, leaning against the wall. "I would've cleaned up a little bit."

"It looks fine." Luna brushed off.

The girl turned to look at her, noticing how much she's changed since the last time she saw her, which was only a month ago.

May looked different every single time Luna came over, which concerned the girl. She wasn't the same person she used to be, and Luna knew it was for obvious reasons. The teenager tried her best to visit May as much as she could, and the woman really appreciated that, but that still didn't change the fact that she was still having a hard time with everything.

Luna got out plates from the cupboards once she was done putting the food out in a spread.

"There's burgers, club sandwiches, and chicken tenders." Luna listed off. "Not to mentions two big orders of fries."

May laughed as she shook her head, taking a seat in a chair and grabbing a plate.

"Thanks, Luna." The woman was genuine as she reached for whatever looked good to her. "You didn't have to do this."

"I don't mind." Luna shrugged. "I know you've been busy, so I thought I'd help out for dinner."

The brunette waited for her to get settled before serving herself. Once they were both sitting down and eating, Luna decided to ask the one question she always asked whenever she was here.

"How've you been?"

May always dreaded it, but it was only expected. Luna's intentions were pure and genuine, so she couldn't hold it against her by asking the one thing she never felt like explaining.
