Luna felt her heart race out of her chest as she stood dead center in front of the Avengers Compound.

Her chapped lips were quivering from the chilly air, but she was nowhere near as cold as she was nervous. It felt like so long ago since the girl has even stepped foot anywhere near this place. Luna didn't know if she was able to handle coming here, but once she received that phone call, she suddenly found herself coming back.

The cloudiness in the sky wasn't helping Luna's mood one bit, but she found herself not caring.

The enormous building towered over her as she stared at it. Luna hasn't felt this nervous about the facility more than she did right in that moment. She didn't know what to expect once she walked in.

The girl had been in contact with Pepper Potts ever since everything went down. The woman had advised Luna to stay home and to not come anywhere near the base until she was told otherwise. Pepper knew it was best for Luna to stay safe in her own home until things settled down.

Pepper didn't know what to tell Luna. It was already a known fact that the teenager had a lot of questions about this entire situation, but Pepper wasn't sure if Luna was able to handle it.

The woman was going through her own battles.

She too didn't know where Tony was, or if he was even alive.

Pepper was heartbroken with the recent events that destroyed the world. One minute, she was getting ready for a romantic dinner with Tony that she made reservations for, and the next, she was begging him to get off the ship once realizing that he was on it in the first place.

And now, Pepper had to deal with all of it.

It was now time for Pepper to finally have Luna come to the facility. After one phone call, the woman arranged for Happy to pick her up and bring her all the way upstate.

Luna couldn't control her shaking fingers as she adjusted the bag on her shoulder. Her clothes suddenly felt tight on her, and the girl reached up to pull at the collar of her jean jacket.

"Whenever you're ready.."

Happy stood alongside the young teenager, feeling awkward as he just waited for Luna to make her way inside. It didn't look like she was going to make a move anytime soon.

The girl glanced at him, sighing deeply as she shook her head.

"Sorry." Her voice was barely audible.

"You'll feel better once you go in." Happy told her.

Luna kept her eyes straight ahead, a look of pain laced in her features. She felt bad for forcing Happy to wait out there with her, but she just couldn't bring herself to move her feet.
