The view was immaculate, too beautiful to look away from.
It was a place full of peace and sanctuary. It was no wonder why Tony wanted to move here in the first place. The cabin gave him comfort to build his family, somewhere to raise his daughter without the fear of putting her in any sort of danger. Luna Pearce didn't understand it at first, but now that the circumstances have changed, she couldn't agree more.
Tony Stark wanted to make sure that his family would be okay if anything were to happen to him. A part of him always knew something would. Because of that, he made sure to settle them in a place that would protect them and bring peace to the household.
That's exactly what he managed to achieve. Even when gone, Pepper and Morgan couldn't be happier with their home. It was the perfect place for them, always having access to the beautiful lake and bright sun that beamed against the entire field of land that belonged to Pepper. It gave the woman peace, being content that this is where her and Tony decided to settle. It allowed Pepper to walk outside into the large property, standing in front of the lake and admiring the view as she felt Tony's presence with her.
Luna Pearce was glad to know that even as a widow, Pepper was still growing and being the best mother she could be. The girl can clearly see it as she came around more often.
It was Thanksgiving Day.
Peter and Luna travelled to Tony's cabin with Happy Hogan, Shannon Pearce, and Aunt May to spend the holiday with Pepper and Morgan. The couple were more than happy to see her again, and it allowed the teenagers to take a break from Queens to spend some time in Fairburn.
Luna hugged herself tight as she tried to warm up from the cold weather, her red coat not being enough to create some heat. She didn't have it in her to go inside though. The view was too beautiful to miss. The sun was going down, creating the perfect sunset right on the other side of the lake. It was the perfect evening to just stare into the view while dinner was being prepared.
She absolutely loved it here.
"Luna."
The brunette turned around to see Shannon standing near the front door, a warm smile on her face as she waved her over.
"We're all sitting down and having some drinks before dinner." She called out. "Come join us."
Luna nodded, looking back into the lake and smiling before heading back inside.
Everyone gathered in the large living room with the fireplace on, greeting Luna with whiffs of warmth that felt good against her cold skin from standing outside for so long. She sat next to Peter on the sofa, the boy putting his arm around her.
"Here we go."
Pepper walked in with a tray full of champagne glasses.
"Champagne for the adults," The woman cheered as she passed them out. "And apple cider for the not so adults." She joked as she gave a glass to Peter and Luna, to which they gladly accepted.
