Luna felt uneasy throughout the entire day.

Everything turned out exactly like she expected, and that was her and Peter not speaking to each other at least once. She was nervous to see if the two shared any classes together, but much to her surprise, they didn't. It was odd, mostly because they always had at least one class together during their previous three years of high school, even before they ever spoke to each other for the first time.

The girl refused to think about him any longer. She already let herself sulk in her bed for over a week when Peter broke up with her, and now Luna wasn't letting any of this affect her any longer than it already had.

It was Peter's choice to end things the way he did, and all Luna could do was accept it. She couldn't be with the him now that he wasn't the same as before. He wouldn't let her be with him.

But even though Luna swore to herself that she had to be strong when walking into school, all of that went of the window once her and Peter saw each other.

Even though they expected to run into each other at some point, it still didn't make it any less painful. It hurt Luna even more when Peter turned the other way and left, making it obvious that he didn't want to be anywhere near her. Aubrey could see just how hurt Luna was, even when the brunette kept telling her that she was fine.

It was the end of the day and Luna hasn't seen the boy since earlier this morning, not even at lunch. The friend group was extremely worried, especially Ned. The three of them weren't just Luna's friends. They were also Peter's friends and it hurt to know that he was pushing them away as well. It was like he didn't want anything to do with them. Ned pointed out a couple of times that he was going to try and talk to his best friend within the next couple days, but Luna wanted no part of it.

Luna already felt stressed knowing that her senior year of high school wasn't at all what she expected it to be. It was the time when everyone was picking out the college of their choice, and Luna didn't feel ready to deal with any of that just yet.

"How are you feeling?"

Aubrey approached Luna by her locker, watching as the brunette shoved everything in it, not caring about the mess she was making.

The first day was over, and Luna wanted nothing more than to just go home.

"Peachy." She vaguely replied.

"First day wasn't too bad was it?" Aubrey weakly smiled. "I know you were worried about seeing-"

"I'm not worried." Luna interrupted, lying straight through her teeth. "I just want to get home."

"Do you need a ride?" The redhead offered. "I told you that I could always pick you up or drop you off whenever you want me to."

"That's okay. I think I'm just gonna walk. I could use the fresh air."
