Luna quietly sat on her bed as she stared straight ahead across the room. Her bedroom was pitch dark like always, but the girl preferred it that way at all times. Something about being in a dark room calmed the girl. It made her feel like she didn't have to face the outside world, and she certainly didn't want to with all the damage that came with it.

It was extremely late, and Luna found herself not being able to fall asleep. It was a normal thing that always happened now.

No matter how exhausted she felt, it was still nearly impossible to fall asleep.

The girl found herself just sitting there in the dark, staring at the wall across the room as she hugged her knees.

It was quiet, not one peep being heard.

Luna glanced at the window to her left as she eyed the closed curtains that covered the glass. She was suddenly reminded of Peter again. The simplest things always made her think of him.

Looking at the window reminded Luna of all the times Peter plopped himself down on the other side of it. She constantly found herself swooned whenever he flashed her a big smile as he took his mask off. Luna loved that he came to her every night, even if it was just to say hi. They spent hours talking, kissing, and just admiring each other's presence.

Luna loved the moments they shared with one another whenever she would fix up the minor injuries that he always returned with. Even though she hated seeing him hurt, the feeling that engulfed her while Peter stared at her with such intensity as she fixed him up was just indescribable.

The curtains were always drawn open so that Luna was able to see him arrive, but now the girl refused to even look out there, already knowing that she would be disappointed to see that he wasn't sitting out there.

The girl let out a shaky breath as she reached up to touch the pendant that was resting in the center of her neck.

The moon crescent was cold as she traced her fingers against it. Luna thought back to when Peter surprised her with the necklace, and she weakly smiled at the memory. Peter gave it to her just a few weeks before everything happened, and the girl has never taken it off since.

She still wasn't planning on taking it off.

The necklace made Luna feel close to Peter. It was the only thing that was keeping her together right now.

Luna glanced over at her nightstand.

The clock read 4:12 A.M.

It was pretty clear that she wouldn't be getting any sleep.

The girl let out a sigh as she got up from the bed, slowly walking over to the window and drawing the curtains open. The moonlight was shining brighter than ever.
