Luna could see the dark bags under her eyes. She wasn't getting as much sleep as she should've been, and her appearance was starting to show it. It was only getting more prominent.

With a long and heavy sigh, Luna wiped her hands over the foggy mirror of the bathroom, a white towel wrapped around her body and her hair dripping wet.

She was moving around like a snail.

The girl was slowly dragging on the day, dreading what she had to face in only a few hours. She didn't know how she was supposed to get through it, or how Peter was supposed to get through it, but Luna kept reminding herself that as long as they had each other then everything would be okay.

It had to be.

Luna and Peter packed up their stuff for Tony's funeral and decided to stay at his cabin with Pepper. The two decided it was best to stick around for a couple days beforehand in one of the guest rooms, and Luna wanted to do everything she could to help Pepper with the arrangements. It's been an emotional time for everyone, especially Pepper. Because of that, Luna wanted to make sure she could help out as much as she could.

But Luna didn't prepare herself for this actual day to come. She wasn't ready for it, and she was anxious all morning.

Peter barely said a single word to her, being too distracted by his own mind and also trying to keep himself together. Luna didn't know how to make any of this easier for him. She didn't even know how to make it easier for herself.

Without overthinking too much, Luna was quick to open the bathroom door and let the steam out as she walked out and stepped into the bedroom her and Peter were staying in.

She spotted Peter sitting at the edge of the bed, his head down and fingers fidgeting around with the tie that rested on his lap. He didn't even look up once he heard the bathroom door open. His eyes were only focused on the tie, not bothering to look up at anyone or anything.

The sight made Luna want to cry.

She knew this day was really going to affect Peter in ways that would forever be a bad memory for him. She didn't know how to comfort him in a way that would make things at least a little better for the boy.

Luna adjusted the towel around her body as she approached Peter, standing in front of him and gently taking the tie from his lap. He barely made any sort of reaction.

"Do you even know how to put a tie on?" Luna smiled as she tried to lighten the mood.

The boy shook his head, finally looking up. "Um-" he gulped. "N-No, not really."

"Let me help you." Luna told him as she wrapped the fabric around his neck, adjusting the size and looping it around.

He was quiet the entire time, not once saying a single word or making a sound. The silence was killing Luna, but she didn't want to say or do anything that would only make things worse. Peter was the most vulnerable he's ever been, and the last thing Luna wanted to do was put him on the spot.
