Steve Rogers was a true hero.

He always did everything in the best way he knew how, even if that made everyone else disagree with him or turn against him. The hero didn't have a simple life, and that was something he has accepted a long time ago. There wasn't anything in the world that Steve hasn't already encountered.

Obstacles were thrown his way left and right, but he always found solutions to deal with them and move on.

Life was extremely difficult for Steve, before and after being frozen in the Arctic Ocean.

The man could vividly remember how much he struggled to adapt in his new life during the 21st century, being forced to move on from his past during the 40s, and even having to accept the fact that Peggy Carter had to move on and live her life without him.

And then to be labeled as a criminal by people all over the world, being blamed for the destruction that affected millions of people.

That was the sole reason for tearing the Avengers in half, and the reason for the fight that happened at the airport in Germany. Even though there were so many people who turned against them, the hero never stopped defending the ones who were in danger, even if that meant the entire world.

But now the Avengers were facing the biggest obstacle that ever came their way, and they weren't even sure if they would be able to fix it, but Steve and the others were doing anything they could to not let them down again.

Thanos was too powerful for the Avengers to defeat. They couldn't save the world like they always knew how, and now half of the universe was gone. Steve felt vengeance towards the titan as he thought back to how he was able to retrieve the last stone from Vision, which allowed him to complete the snap without a single thought.

He lost the ones who he considered family. They've all been through so much in their lives, but managed to get through it as long as they had each other for support.

Sam Wilson was someone he stuck with for quite some time now, along with Wanda Maximoff. They were his friends, and he hated himself for not being able to save them, along with every other hero who had to pay the price for this.

Captain America's only goal was to find where Thanos had gone to after slipping through the portal, and now they finally had an exact target.

He couldn't take his mind off of everything as he waited on the jet. Everyone else on the spacecraft were talking amongst themselves about their plan of action, but the hero wasn't focused enough to listen. His only plan was to get the stones, simple as that. He didn't care what he had to do.

Steve opened the locket that he carried around with him for years, staring at the picture inside of it that revealed the beautiful face of Peggy Carter. The black and white picture gave him hope that he could do this, no matter what he had to sacrifice.
