"We've been here for hours."
Aubrey groaned as she placed her chin on the palm of her hand, sinking further in her seat. "When are we leaving?"
Luna looked up from her paper as she rolled her eyes at the redhead who was impatiently rocking back and forth.
"We've been here 45 minutes."
Aubrey scoffed. "Well, it feels like hours." She crossed her arms. " Why did I let you talk me into coming to the library?"
"Because we need to study for that calculus test. We can't afford to fail it."
"Our grades are fine." Aubrey sighed. "I hate the library. It's not my thing."
"Then why did you agree to come?" Luna arched an eyebrow.
"I thought breakfast would be included." She shrugged and Luna chuckled.
If you wanted to study, you should've invited MJ. If you need to go to the mall, then that's when I come in." The redhead explained.
Luna couldn't help but laugh. She expected Aubrey to complain about coming to the library on a Sunday morning, but she didn't expect her to give in so soon.
"MJ was busy when I asked, but now I know to bring her instead of you."
Aubrey groaned for the second time as she leaned back in her seat, playing with the ends of her hair. She was bored the entire time, and watching Luna looking down at her notes was only stressing her out. Aubrey was never the type of student to study or do any ounce of schoolwork outside of school, so it was clear that being in this large building with thousands of books wasn't her type of scene.
"Hey."
Luna and Aubrey looked up to see Alex with a smile on his face as he walked up to them, setting down his backpack in the chair next to the brunette. Luna returned the same smile as she put her pen down.
"Hi." She greeted as Aubrey just offered an awkward grin. She didn't expect for the boy to show up out of nowhere, and she was having a hard time hiding the surprised look on her face.
"Let me move my stuff out of the way." Luna gathered up her papers. "You can sit down."
"I'm actually gonna use the restroom first and grab some coffee at the little café over there ." The boy pointed his thumb backwards. "Do you guys want anything?"
"Blueberry muffin." Aubrey sighed in relief. "I'm starving."
Luna smiled. "I'll take one too."
The boy nodded, taking off his jacket and putting it on the chair before walking away, and that was when Aubrey gave Luna a knowing look, her eyebrows raised as she tilted her head.
