Two steps forward, ten steps back.

That saying has been around for a long time, but Luna has never really processed it until now. She couldn't stop thinking about it. No matter how much she tried shoving the thought away, she couldn't forget.

It wasn't easy for Luna to process the fact that everyone worked so hard to turn this whole thing around, only for it to crumble right in front of them. the girl felt like they made so much progress, but now there were in the worst position they could possibly be in. Now that there wasn't a chance to recover from the snap, it was time to accept the failure that came with it.

It was time to grieve.

Luna was right back where she started, but this time it was even worse than before. The teenager was back to shutting out the world, no longer having interest in going outside to face everyone just to see how much everything was ruined.

Everyday consisted her of being in bed, barely eating or showering.

Luna constantly had dreams about Peter, but she was always faced with the harsh reality once she woke up. She no longer could see his beautiful face, his amazing smile, and his loving touch. Now that Luna had to accept that Peter was no longer there, she found it more difficult than she could ever imagine.

If Shannon wasn't worried before, she was definitely worried now. Happy was the one to inform the woman of what happened to Peter, which was something Shannon was already suspecting, but now it broke her heart to see how much of a toll it took on her daughter.

She couldn't get through to Luna no matter how hard she tried. The teenager just wasn't interested on having a heart to heart conversation.

Shannon only wanted to be there for her, and the woman refused to give up on her.

She knocked on Luna's door, of course getting no response.

Shannon took it upon herself to just walk in, a plate of food in her hand as she approached the girl's bed.

Luna gave no acknowledgment. Her body was buried in blankets as a way to keep anyone from bothering her. It didn't give her much luck though.

"I made you some dinner." The woman set the plate on the nightstand, noticing the previous plate of food she brought in from earlier that day, not even being touched.

Luna kept her gaze the other way.

"I'm not hungry." She muttered quietly.
