Another stressful day was over as you readied yourself for bed. How nice would it be to go on vacation for once, not having to worry about anything. You haven't had a break since you became CEO. To just close your eyes and wake up when your body actually had enough sleep...
In that moment your phone rang, bringing you back to reality. Upon checking, you saw Shigaraki calling you.
"Yes?" You answered.
You heard him briefly suck in his breath and abruptly ending the call, making you furrow your brows. What on earth was that about?
You decided to call him back. It rang for a long time before he actually answered.
"Yeah?"
"Why did you call me?"
"... It was an accident."
"... Alright then. If there's nothing else, I'm going to hang up."
"Wait." He stopped you. "I met up with Kusumoto."
"What? Really? What did he want?"
"... It's better if I tell you in person."
You thought for a moment and checked your schedule. If this was about Kusumoto making a move, it was best to know about it as soon as possible. The dinner meeting with Mr. Tomutso didn't seem very important, so you told him to postpone it without making any changes to your schedule.
"Fine. Tomorrow at 7:30PM. I'll send you the meeting location. Can you make sure nobody tracks us?"
"Yeah."
"Good. See you tomorrow."
The following day, Shigaraki made his way to one of the VIP rooms of the restaurant you wanted to meet him at. It sickened him that he went out of his way to meet that loser and act as if he wanted to work with him. Had it been up to him, he would have just killed Kusumoto and be done with it. Disappointingly, it was not something he could do so he had to partake in this stupid game of pretense you elite people liked to play.
Before opening the door he noticed a smudge on one of his red sneakers and reached down to wipe it off, scoffing in annoyance almost immediately afterwards. Why did it matter whether there was a smudge or not, it's not like you would notice and neither did he ever care about his appearance. There was no reason to suddenly become so self-conscious.
He entered the room and found you sitting by yourself, food already served at the table in this room that you had exclusively booked for the both of you. The moment you saw him, you smiled sweetly.
"It's good to see you, have a seat. Just let me know if there's anything else you want to order." You greeted him as if you meant it. It was both enticing and infuriating. You obviously were only interested in the news he had for you, not in his mere company. Without a doubt, you were the master of this game, but soon he would make sure you wouldn't have to play it anymore. He would save you from this rotten society that forced you to lie about your true nature by destroying it. In reality, you were just like him: a villain. You just didn't realize it yet because people loved you, but once you lose all that, once you become an outcast and a reject like him, you didn't need to pretend anymore. You could be yourself with him. He would break that barrier.
"So..." You began. "How was your golf session with Kusumoto?"
"Why would I even do something like that? " Disdain formed in the pastel-haired man's eyes. "It's bad enough I have to waste my time on that nobody. He'd been bugging me incessantly after the kidnapping of your sister happened."
