A few days have passed since then and there had been little communication between you and Overhaul, mostly regarding the jewelry store. He must be busy but so were you. You just finished your shift for the day and two yakuza who were in charge of guarding you today were waiting for you in the parking lot. You got in the car and checked your phone as one of them started driving.

A scowl formed on your lips when you found out you still had two dinner invites. Did you really have to go? You didn't feel like it. Majority of these dinner meetings weren't even business related, it was mostly just a bunch of VIPs asking for a dinner date but keeping your acquaintances on friendly terms was still important. Still, maybe you could just relax tonight and decided to reject the invites, offering to have them postponed to another time.

Something didn't feel right as you looked up from your phone to the car's mirror. Two dark-tinted cars were trailing you and you were sure that those did not belong to the Shie Hassiakai. Your guards also shifted in their seat, suspicious if they were following.

Then all of a sudden, your driver turned at the wrong road. You thought he did that to shake off the followers but when you checked the mirror something was wrong with his eyes. Was this a mind controlling quirk?

"Hey!" The yakuza beside you started shaking his colleague who just continued driving in zig zags as the pursuing cars drove beside you and slammed into your car. The guard beside you pushed the delirious driver aside and took control over the wheel but the second car had already slammed into you from the other side and caused it to ram right into a tree.

You were about to make an emergency call but something shot through the glass and landed at your feet which looked like a grenade. You scrambled to get out before it would explode but it was already too late. Instead of a bright flash, gas leaked out from it that burned your eyes and throat even when you opened the door to let fresh air in. It felt like it was suffocating you and numbing your senses. Your vision blurred as you saw figures of men dressed in dark clothing take you away.

You awoke some time later with your head hurting and your mouth feeling dry like sand paper. You felt awful and every inch of your body hurt. You were lying on the ground in your underwear and saw that your hands and your ankles had been tied with duct tape. It took a little while to remember what had just transpired and you blinked several times to clear your vision.  You were in a room full of people looking down at you and on a chair sat a familiar looking face- the head of the Tandekki Ikka. Your heart pounded with fear at the indication of this situation.

"She's finally waking up." He lit up his cigarette and eyed you intensely. "This how Chisaki should have gifted her to me on my birthday."

You wanted to retort but your mouth felt too dry to say anything with convincing anger.

"So, he parades you around like some kind of trophy wife on my birthday party uninvited and he only sent two of his men to guard you? What a joke." He pressed the cigarette down on the ashtray.

"... What do you want from me?" You gritted through your teeth. You managed to produce a little bit of saliva but your voice still came out a little hoarse.

"What do I want from you? Well, someone like you has many things to offer. You've got the wealth, the looks, the connections... but what I want the most right now is to piss off Chisaki. He has taken so many things from me, including my son, so I think it's justifiable enough that I take his money spinner."

"You know, killing me won't benefit you in any way."

"Oh, I'm not planning to kill you off just like that. At least not slowly."
