You paced around your room, livid at the revelation. All this time he had been torturing a child and on top of that he even lied to you about it! He could deny it all he wanted, the bandages on her arms and legs and with how scared she looked, that already told you everything you needed to know.

Shigaraki said she was the source of the bullets and that Overhaul would rip her apart and put her back together to make the bullets... It was too mortifying to think about. And the worst part of it all was that you had invested in this very project!

The yakuza boss entered your room again, most probably to do damage control but there was absolutely nothing that could justify his actions.

"You lied to me! You said you didn't know of such a person!" You immediately accused him.

"It's not as if you have been completely honest with me either." He looked annoyed but the cat was already out of the bag so there was no need to hide anything else.

"So that's your excuse? Because we both lied to each other?"

"I did not lie to you in this regard. You knew that human experiments were part of the development for the bullets. It was all stated in the documents of our research and you still agreed to invest without ever bothering to ask about the identity of the person involved in the experiment."

"..." His words hit you because it was true. It hadn't crossed your mind to go deeper into the details. "But she's just a child..."

"Would it have made you feel any different if it had been an adult instead? Multiple adults? Multiple children? It only matters to you now because you met face to face with the victim and now you are feeling guilt." He continued.

"If you had used people that already had committed crimes or enemies of your organization it would have been understandable. Do you not feel any remorse doing this to someone innocent?"

"You need to understand I do not go out of my way to kidnap children and experiment on them. Eri is a special case and she is not an ordinary child. She was born with a mutation and her mother abandoned her after she accidentally made her father vanish into thin air. I was tasked to study her condition and realized that her ability is what the Shie Hassaikai needed to rise from the slums we've been cornered into. This was the only advantage we had and I took it."

"Really?" You narrowed your eyes. "Making bullets out of a young girl's flesh was the only kind of livelihood you could think of? Knowing how crafty you are, I find that hard to believe."

"It is true, we did not have many resources back then and because of these sick heroes, the drug trade is not what it used to be. It was not enough to keep us alive."

"And what do you intend to do with her? Keep her as the source of the bullets for the rest of her life?!"

"Obviously, we were researching for ways to create the bullets without constantly having to rely on her but such procedures take time. And thankfully, we discovered your device which helped us replicate the bullets and minimize the need for Eri."

"So, if you didn't discover my device, you would continue to use her in your experiments, is that it?"

"Technically speaking, yes, our research would have been completed at a much slower pace without your devices. Once we have completed this research, there will be no more use for her in the production of these bullets."

"And what would happen to her once you don't need her anymore?"

"We'll fix her with her therapy and beta blockers."

"After all the pain and trauma you caused her, you think you can just fix her with therapy and medication?! Unbelievable!" You scoffed, throwing your hands in disbelief. "Why does she still have to stay with the Shie Hassaikai once you don't need her anymore?"
