A tray with vegetables, rice, small strips of meat and soup was set on your table but you had no appetite to even try even a bite. You were still exhausted and unnerved about the events that transpired these past few days. Everything just went so wrong in such a short time, you even lost your life and all you had wanted was to get back to Kai because he was the only one who you truly felt secure with, just for him to microchip you without your consent shortly after he brought you back. Whatever privacy or freedom you had left was now breached.

Right now, you were inside this guest room you had been brought to many months ago after that other yakuza leader had kidnapped you. Somehow you always ended up here whenever you got kidnapped, and that has happened one too many times now. When you started your career, you had never imagined these kinds of things could ever happen to you and now you had your fill. Lately you yearned for those times when your reputation had not preceded you yet.

The door of the room opened, startling and nearly causing you to knock the tray over.

"How are you feeling?" Kai entered your room.

"I'm fine." You averted your eyes, not in the mood to see him.

"You haven't touched your food."

You just scoffed and crossed your arms. He was probably going to lecture you again like a child. It remained silent for a few moments before the yakuza head sighed.

"You should eat. You're still recovering from your surgery."

"Which you just did without my permission." You answered bitterly.

"I know you're still upset with me for that but you have to understand this is for your own safety. I almost lost you and I cannot let it happen again."

You pursed your lips, too tired to argue about this. All you wanted was just to go home. Maybe even hear from your family. Have a bit of normalcy back in your life.

"By the way, you left this at the party." He fished your phone from his pocket and handed it to you. With all the chaos that happened, you nearly forgot about it. You eagerly accepted it and saw that you had over 600 notifications but it didn't bother you this time. It reminded you that as shitty as you were feeling right now, you still held an important title. You checked your inbox and saw that there were several messages of employees, associates, your sister, your parents and Hawks asking if you were okay. You were about to reply when Overhaul grabbed the phone back.

"You're still officially in coma, remember? It would raise suspicion if you replied."

"Are you going to keep my phone?" You deflated.

"I'll have to hold on to it for now to make sure no one tries to steal your information. You're in a vulnerable position right now, (y/n). I'll give it back to you once you're able to go to work again."

"So, how will I contact you when I'm home?"

"Home?" He raised an incredulous brow as if you asked for something very strange. "You can't go home just yet, not while the League of Villains is could still be looking for you. Your house in in a high ground and could be easily damaged should they release another Nomu. It's too risky."

You didn't know why that surprised you. Of course he would use this reason to keep you here!

"But... " You scrambled for an excuse, unable to come up with one.

"You have to be logical about this. Staying here is the best option, no one will find you here. You're safe."

"... Then what am I supposed to do if everyone thinks I'm still hospitalized?" Your frown deepened.

"Just rest for now. Take this time to relax and recreate. Think of it as a vacation."

You've dreamed of taking a vacation for a long time but you imagined being in a resort or a cruise, not in a yakuza hideout. You sighed at how ridiculous this whole situation has become.

"I can't believe this. Will I just be stuck in this room?" You knew you would just get lost if you left your room. Food and other things you needed would just be served to you.

"For now. I know this isn't ideal but give me a few days. I'll set something up for you. You should eat your food." You wondered what he meant by that as he turned his back to you and headed towards the door. That's when you suddenly remembered.

"Before you go, can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

"Who is Eri?"

His brow rose ever so slightly. "I never heard of that name before. Why do you ask?"

You shook your head. Shigaraki was probably just messing with you like he always had. Surely, Kai wouldn't be that horrible of a person as the League of Villains leader made him out to be.

"Does this have something to do to do with the League of Villains? You should know not to believe everything they tell you."

"Yeah, you're right." You mumbled bitterly. Screw Shigaraki, you would stop pondering over all the nonsense he told you. You were done with the League of Villains.

The following days passed slowly. You weren't used to being so idle. Life as a CEO was busy; everyday something had to be done, even when you weren't working in the office, there was always some event, meeting or dinner to attend to, so doing nothing at all the whole day felt weird and you quickly became bored.

Kai had books, a tv and a console installed to your room so that you had at least something to do although this felt nothing like a vacation. He made sure that you got enough sleep but you also weren't allowed to oversleep. You got 7-8 hours of sleeping time, were always served healthy food, had one of the members escort you to the courtyard so you could get some sunlight and exercise and led you back to your room. Even playing video games, watching TV or reading was limited to 1 hour and 30 minutes as Kai warned you of the health risks of exposing your eyes to the screen for too long. If anything, it felt more like you were being rehabilitated from some disease you didn't know you had.

Kai was a busy man and you rarely saw him around, but he made time to at least have lunch or dinner with you once or every other day and was ever as evasive when you asked him what he was working on. He sometimes gave you reports showing how your company was doing and which of your board members was making questionable decisions during your absence but he insisted to take care of it and let you continue enjoying your 'vacation' until it your clone appeared to have recovered after a reasonable time.

It was only a few days after that Kai himself called your attention and asked you to follow him through the maze of the base, which you have already given up trying to memorize. He opened a door and gestured for you to enter first. As soon as you stepped inside, you were greeted by the Ada and Basti bowing to you.

"Welcome, ma'am. You have 138 new messages but Mr. Chisaki has asked me not to bother you with work until further notice." Ada's robotic resonated, and you saw Kai flinch from the corner of your eye at how casually your bot was using his name. You wanted to let out a chuckle but were quickly distracted when you looked around the room.

It had been remodeled almost exactly as it had been back home, with the fishes in your aquarium near your bed, the alcove with your wardrobe and the huge vanity mirror in the center, even Kiwi was there organizing your clothes and other cleaning bots and roombas were buzzing about.

"What..." you were stunned.

"Do you like it?" He inquired expectantly.

"Yeah... but... why?"

"I figured you would enjoy your stay more if it resembled your home."

That it certainly did, but even though it looked very much like your room, it wasn't the same. You wouldn't see the skyline anymore, watch the sunrise and sunset, or the night lights of the city whenever you were home. All you'd find now when you tried to leave your room was a locked door and you asked yourself: were you not a prisoner at this point?

"But... it's like you're making me move in with you."

"Well, yes, it is best for you to move in with us for now. That way I can always be there for you."

You were not sure at this point as to whether you should be relieved or scared.
