Chapter 3

As you entered the room, you noted there was nothing much apart from two sofas parallel to each other separated by a coffee table, a small shelf in the corner, and the Shie Hassaikai's banner on the wall.

It was filled with other yakuza but the leader was impossible to miss. There he sat on the couch, wearing that same plague doctor mask you saw in the picture, with auburn hair, and haunting golden eyes. His eyelashes were long and pretty. Despite half of his face being covered, you could tell he was really attractive. He wore a black shirt with a white tie, which emphasized his lean form.

His aura was extremely intimidating. Even without having read his profile before coming here, you could tell he was dangerous and those pretty golden eyes seemed to just stare right into your soul as if there was nothing you could hide from them.

You did your best not to gawk at him too much, after all you were in his lair and you needed to show respect if you wanted to survive, let alone get a done deal.

"Good evening, Overhaul." You gave him a narrow bow. "My name is-"

"(Y/n), current CEO of (y/c). Daughter of Buzzer and sister of Honey Girl, both working at the Mighty Bee agency. You possess the bee quirk like your family, and your estimated net worth is around ¥700 million. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Please, have a seat." He gestured with his gloved hand at the couch across him with an almost bored expression. His voice was cold, strangely alluring and quite sexy, actually.

You were a bit surprised about how well he researched about you but you heeded his instruction and took a seat on the couch facing him, crossing your legs to in attempt to hide your anxiety. You immediately wished you had worn a longer dress as you could practically feel the stares of the men even if they were mostly masked. But you could do this, you know it.

The nice thing about having villain clients is that they didn't care much about pleasantries and didn't like having their time wasted so there was no need for you to go all over the top. You would have to get straight to the point, tell them what it does and how. And never question a villain's plans, it angers them. If they want something to achieve in their plans, they would tell you.

"Likewise." You greeted him back. It was hard to maintain eye contact with him and you found yourself blinking more than usual as you gazed at his golden eyes. So... beautiful...

"You better not plan anything funny with that robot, missy! We are yakuza, remember that!" A small black creature with a white mask pointed his finger at you and threatened you.

"Mimic, play nice. She came all the way over here to introduce us to something new."

"Boss, these are the two devices found in her home. There is a third one but it was too large for us to transport." For the first time since you arrived, he broke his eye contact with you and looked over your devices curiously which gave you the cue to start the presentation.

You called Ada's attention and she launched her internal hologram display projector. You did your best to explain everything fluidly, how you created it, the materials used, what you studied about quirk genes and how this was applied, how long the process took and what were results so far. There was no need to hide anything about this project, after all he had that guy who could force you to tell the truth so you might as well try to establish a bit of trust.

You could practically feel his stare even when you weren't looking. He sat there with his elbows rested on his knees, his head slightly tilted, like a curious bird. There was no way to tell what he was thinking at the moment, whether he was impressed or bored out of his mind. It made you more nervous but you have mastered how to hide your anxiety and you continued speaking firmly and eloquently just as you always did as a CEO.
