A gunshot resonated through the back of the truck, followed by the clank of the pistol hitting the ground and the soft thud of a falling body.

There may have been a time where Shigaraki had wanted to be a hero, to save someone, a time he could barely even recall before his father's hand blocked out the foolish vision. Not that it ever mattered. But at that moment, that very moment, he wished things had turned out differently.

There was nothing he could do, only watch with wide eyes, his breath getting hitched in his throat.

You foolish girl, what have you done?!

He took a shaky step towards your limp form on the ground. This was not how things were supposed to turn out. Why didn't you just cooperate?!

"Come on, (Y/n), I don't have time for your games!" He nervously exhaled and shook you softly, hoping this was just another trick you pulled on him but he was just fooling himself at this point. A shaky breath escaped him.

All he wanted was to have you for himself for a little while. Why couldn't you have just granted him that?!

He gently placed his hands around your head, careful not to unleash his quick out of the overwhelming emotions that begun to flow through him.

Death didn't mean anything to him, neither did he feel anything for his victims except for a little bit of satisfaction if he hated them. He knew the frustration of losing his members, but this...  felt heavier. Like a delicate trophy he finally won after a long battle, but then broke it with no way of repairing it.

Your eyes were half open and you still looked so pretty and serene, it almost looked you were just relaxing. He brushed your (hair color) hair to the side, exposing the small gunshot wound where blood seeped out, staining your gorgeous tresses.

An angry fist hit the wall.

"Turn around, Spinner! Get back to the Doctor!"

He knew it would be a futile effort but he had to try.

The truck drove back to where it came from and Shigaraki wasted no time taking you to see the Doctor.

"I'm not sure what you want me to do here aside from turning her into a Nomu. There's not much one can do about a bullet in the head." The Doctor shot him a questioning look. "I'd say we add her to our collection. She doesn't look very strong but every body can be utilized."

"Don't. I still need her."

"For what exactly? She is dead. She has no other use."

He gritted his teeth as he looked down at you. Your eyes have already closed, making you look so beautiful and peaceful, just like earlier this morning when he had drugged you and you slept in his bed.

Why? Just a few hours ago you played together. He secretly had always fantasized about playing video games with a pretty girl, even though that was unlikely to ever happen. And for the first time in his miserable life you fulfilled this fantasy of his. There was a kind of joy he never felt before, completely different from when he killed some rewarding target or defeating a particularly challenging boss. It was the kind that instantly made his unbearable itch disappear. He didn't know what kind of word he should use to describe it. Was it bliss? Euphoria? Or maybe even... happiness?

He suddenly felt an indescribable rage towards you for rejecting him and going behind his back like that. Why didn't you just let him have his way? You could have stayed that and continued to have fun! You seemed to have been enjoying yourself too! Or were you just faking it like you always do?

You shouldn't have died like that. No, you should have died more painfully than that! You didn't just get to mess with him and die so abruptly!

The urge to destroy your body rose within him and he moved his hand to your limp stature. His hand hovered over yours. It was still warm. He took your hand in his. It was so small and smooth compared to his. Your nails were pristine and well kempt, the kind of hand that belonged to someone who took gracious care of themselves. The kind who never did any hard labor.
