-Chris-

after the birth of our son, Christopher Drexel Young alley seemed to become distant... very distant, after the blow up with her brother she was emotionally exhausted for months but recovered when she found out we were expecting our third little miracle, Drex.

i had promised alley long vacation after drex was born so being a man of my word i took my little family on the vacation my beautiful wife had asked for. just the 5 of us.. she picked the location which was Dallas, Texas.

everything had gone amazing until we were visited Dealey plaza and bumped into a man who could had passed as alley's twin.....indentical twin.

Alley being alley and normally being right... she decided after seeing his name on his shirt that she would look him up and after she did... she contacted him to ask him questions. While alley was born and raised in virginia.. she had been conceived in texas and she looked absolutely nothing like the man who was suppose to be her father, the only part of her that looked like him was her eyes... but after seeing this guy.. the eyes didn't convince either of us that Jonas was her father.

"babe.. i heard back from that guy" alley called from the bed in our hotel room while i shaved and the kids snacked and watched cartoons

"what did he say?" i asked walking out of the bathroom after finishing up

"he said he wanted to meet up for lunch..what should i tell him?" she asked

"tell him yes if you want to.. i'll even stay here with the munchkins if you wanna go to lunch with him" i smiled pecking her forehead

"you'd really do that?"

"of course i'd do it alley, i'm your husband and their daddy so yeah i'll watch them for you to go out on your own" i chuckled although i hated to because she really hadn't known what a good father was.... her father had never ever done his part in helping raise her so i had my work cut out for him in proving to her that i wasn't the type of man that her father was.

"your a really great husband and father" she smiled emotionally

"i love you and i love being a father. i'd do anything for you alley or those three little mini chris and alley's over there and i want you to know that" i told her looking her in the eyes

"i love you Chris" she looked up at me with big misty brown eyes.

"i love you more" i held her tight.

-Alley-

"alright you know where everything is so you should be fine but if you need anything call me okay? oh shoot! i've gotta go i'm going to be late" i panicked looking at my watch as i grabbed my bag and kissed chris bye.

"love you! be careful!" he shouted as i walked out the door

to say a i was nervous about meeting the man who very well could be my father would be exactly right, but it really wasn't nerves at it...more like excitement.

"how many in your party ma'am?" the waiter asked as i walked in

"actually i'm with McKay, party of two" i said with a smile

"right this way ma'am!" he smiled and motioned for me to follow him

"Alley Young?" he asked standing up from the booth

"Scott McKay?" i asked sticking my hand out to shake hands

"pleasure to meet you alley" he smiled as we sat down

"pleasure to meet you as well" i smiled putting my bag down beside me in the booth and shrugging out of my light jacket

"so you think theres a chance i could be your dad?" he asked

"i do.. i know it's very strange and out of the blue but we could pass as twins" i said as i took a drink of the extra sweet tea the waiter just brought by.

"i'll agree with you.. you do look just like me. what year were you born?"

"1987.. December 1987.. in southwest virginia. my mom's name is Kate Cullins" i explained

"kate... well alley, i can't say for sure that i'm your father but i will take a DNA test and see what it says. you just look so much like me and i do remember kate.. she was the love of my life" he smiled sadly talking about my mom

"you would be willing to do that?" i asked surprised

"yes i would. how is katey now?" he asked

"she's doing good.. she's divorced recently and she's a grandmother now, she has 4 grand babys now" i smiled

"oh so your a mom?" he asked

"i am!! i became a mom almost 7 years ago" i smiled proudly as i thought about my little girls and my little man

"and your married?" he asked curiously

"i am.. i've been married almost 8 years. i married a really great guy named Chris.. you actually may have heard him on the radio before" i spoke proudly

"wow! congrats! he wouldn't be Chris Young would he?" he asked cutting the rack of ribs he ordered as i cut the burger to eat it.

"he is actually. he's back at the hotel with our 3 kids"

"sounds like you've married one of the few good ones of us" he smiled

"yeah.. i think i did, he's supportive and he provides well for us and as far as being a father.. well he could win an award" i spoke honestly

"he sounds like a really great guy, i think you married  good ones" he spoke.

"would you be willing to take the DNA test today? we're leaving in a few days to go home to nashville" i explained pulling out my wallet to pay for lunch only to be told to put it away because he was covering the check.

"if you have time today we can" he smiled as we stood up and headed out of the cafe and into the parking lot.

we left the cafe and went to have the DNA test done before we parted ways after trading numbers.

getting back to the hotel i took out my key card and headed into our room.

"hey babe! how was lunch?" Chris asked

"it went great actually.. we went and did a DNA test and we're going to meet up downstairs in the grill around lunch tomorrow to open the results together, we thought you and the munchkins could come with us" i said biting my lips.

"whatever you want honey."
