I stared down at the little bottle of pills that sat in my palm, no interest in them whatsoever but I had to do what I gotta do, 'doctors orders'

"Anti-Depressants, Wonderful" I mumbled to no one in particular, clasping my fingers around the bottle and shaking it lightly before popping the lid off and tipping two out onto my hand.

Just as I let the two pills slide down my throat my phone begun to buzz on the hotel dressing table. I pulled myself up off the bed and sauntered over to the dresser, picking up my phone I smiled at the picture of Luna and myself back last year before I was in the state I'm in now.

"Hello my beautiful best friend." Her chirpy voice filled my ear drum as I held the mobile against my temple.

"Hi, how are you?" I called down the phone to her, balancing my phone between my ear and shoulder as I clasped a bracelet around my wrist and placed a few rings onto my fingers.

"Not too bad El, was a busy one at the club last night, Tommy had a bird on the bar top stripping, I was traumatised." Luna sighed shamefully, Tommy was a barman at our local club back in Paris, he was a right character and that's all you could say about him really.

"Oh god, you gotta take videos Lu I need evidence to bully him!" I giggled into the mic, pulling the scrunchie out of my hair, letting it flow just over my shoulders and back neatly.

"He's une piqûre" Luna muttered back to me, I laughed loudly at her attempt of sounding like her Mother, and for her French swearing of course.

"How are you anyway El?" Luna asked me, I adjusted my tops straps and slipped on a pair of heals. Sighing as I looked at myself in the mirror, biting my lip debating whether to answer honestly or lie.

"It's been hard Lu, the pills are doing absolutely nothing and honestly I.." I started, quietening after a moment as I hated opening up.

"El go on.." Luna pushed me, her soothing voice immediately helping me.

"I just wished you were on this trip with me, I'm just a bit alone I guess." I said quietly, my voice coming out shy and weak.

"Oh Eleanor..." Luna sighed. Here comes the pity El, great one.

"You know I would've come if I could've gotten time off work, but My Boss won't even bat an eye at me let alone let me have two weeks off, I'm sorry babe..." Luna said softly.

"No don't worry about it I don't blame you, I just wished I could have some company sometimes that's all, but I've only been here 3 days and I'm now on night 4 so I don't know why I'm making such a big deal." I huffed.

"It's alright El just be yourself when people speak to you, I'm sure you'll meet some lovely people okay?" Luna reassured me, a small smile tugged at my lips as I reached for my leather jacket and threw it on.

"Yeah you're right, I'm going downstairs for a meal now Lu so I'll message you later, love you!" I called down the phone, grabbing it with both hands as I listened to her 'Byes' and 'Love yous' echo out from the speaker before I ended the call.

"Table for One please." I said to the waitress as I stood at the entrance of the hotel restaurant, my hands clutching my purse and phone against my stomach.

The waitress led me through the restaurant that was buzzing with people left, right and centre as it was 'Steak Night' which seemed to be popular.
