It was the early hours of the morning, and when I mean early hours I mean it was 1:30 am.

I was sat up in my hotel room bed with Miles sat cross-legged at the end, everyone else was downstairs having another drink at the bar but I told them that I just wanted to be in bed now, which they completely understood.

"How you feelin'?" Miles asked as he glanced up at me from the magazine he was reading.

"I've seen better days Miles..." I sighed my hands comforting eachother as I looped and Un-looped them in boredom.

"Yer fookin' strong, christ you are El, I'm probably gonna cry when you head back to France I'm that much of a wuss.." I giggled at Miles' response, watching as he beamed over at me made my heart hurt just a little as I wasn't going to see his smile or the others soon.

I sighed and rested my head back against the headboard, my eyes flickering as I thought about the day and the evening; my mind slowly moved to Thalia shooting me a look as we walked back to find a cab. I didn't know whether it was because of just something random or because I was walking with Al, I hoped it wasn't the latter.

Miles slammed the magazine shut but I kept my gaze on the ceiling, I heard shuffling before he came and copied my position beside me.

"I sense sadness a lot Eleanor, but right now I'm sensing confusion and worry from you, talk to Papa come on.." Miles voice filled the room, his last choice of words causing me to scoff a laugh.

"It's just..." I sighed, can't even form a fucking sentence good going El.

"When we left the police station, I was walking at the back with Al right?" I confirmed it with Miles who hummed in response.

"And we do this thing that when we walk together I'll link my hand through his arm, because it's just easier to talk and stay walking close together like that you know?" Miles nodded and hummed once again.

"I don't know whether I'm looking too much into it...but Thalia turned round to look at us and sort of..sent me a look?" I bit down hard on my bottom lip as I turned my head to watch Miles.

"Right.." He sniffed and scratched his jaw before placing his hands over his stomach.

"Maybe, Thalia feels that Alex is a teeny-tiny bit close to you..and perhaps that because we've only known you for a little while it's probably made her overthink? Maybe? I'm not sure..." Miles words made me sigh in disappointment. I just wished I could have a stress free life, but clearly The universe hates me or something.

"But it's not like that, I'm close to all of you, literally each of you I'm so close with...I mean look at us right now!" I gestured down to the side of my right leg that was connected to Miles' left and the closeness of us not seeming to be a bother at all. Miles nodded and hummed in agreement.

"Just maybe 'ave a chat with her and clear the air a little yes?" I nodded and turned my gaze back to my linked hands.

We had no plans for today, I think everyone was recovering from a long overdue hangover that was clearly heading our way. I wasn't too bad as I'd gone easy on the alcohol recently.

Miles had left my room at about three am this morning just making sure I was okay to sleep On my own and everything. I deserved a lie in this morning and that's that.

Of course someone had to rattle on my door and startle me from my slumber completely, I wasn't fully asleep but you know when your on the verge of dropping into a deep sleep but if something made you wake up you'd be awake straight away? Yeah, that.
