"Trust dies but mistrust blossoms." -Sophocles.
Back at the Ministry. Ethan still looked at the Runestone that he had taken from the Snyde Household. His arm was finally starting to feel better, thank goodness. Especially after that attack from that Shadow Monster.
"So, we raid a Death Eater house and all we get is a Runestone." Mad Eye summarized. "Wonder what's so special about it."
Ethan held it close but he couldn't decipher it. A part of him wondered why this rune would be so important, and the other part wished he took Ancient Runes in Hogwarts. "Anyone here know how to read Runestones?" He asked.
Ben coughed. Tonks shook her head, and so did Mad Eye and Ryder.
"Once again. It looks like we have another thing to worry about." Ben announced like he was on a game show. "Tell us what we've won."
"Nothing!" Tonks shouted.
Ben looked at Tonks, funny. "That was rhetorical, Tonks."
Tonks put on a moping face.
"Okay." Ethan thought out loud being the one to take charge of the situation. "We've got to think about this. There's a Runestone that could lead us to somewhere. There's a Metamorphmagus on the loose..." That was when a large flash of lightning started going off in the windows. The Cursed Window problem was coming faster then ever. "Also... somebody should probably take care of that." He added.
"Yeah, it's kind of getting on my nerves too." Ben agreed.
"Fat Chance." Ryder noted. "Unless you know a charm that can get rid of Cursed Windows."
"No." Ethan admitted. But that was when everyone looked at him knowing that Ethan had more to say. "...But I know a guy."
That was when Ethan found himself heading over to the Floo Network on his way back to Hogwarts. And he was going there alone.
"Ethan, you sure about going to Hogwarts alone?" Ben asked.
"It'll be quicker and easier if I go alone. Talk to Professor Flitwick and maybe get some information on how to fix that window problem. That and maybe someone can also help with figuring out this Runestone." Ethan answered.
"Why not just leave the Runestone with Mad Eye and Ryder?" Ben asked. "Or maybe even have an expert study the Runestone?" He suggested.
"We can't take the risk of a Metamorphmagus impersonating an expert and taking the Runestone. I'd rather not have all the hard work we've done just undone in the blink of an eye." Ethan explained.
Ben nodded. He couldn't argue with that logic.
"Keep an eye on Tonks and stay close to Mad Eye and Ryder." Ethan said.
"On it." Ben replied.
Ethan was fortunate that he had a reliable friend in Ben Copper. Even if he did eat ribs in Merula's kitchen.
"And Stay away from Umbridge!" Ethan yelled as he threw down Floo Powder on the Fireplace and teleporting away.
Ethan teleported into Office 34B. And there the Toad Wart herself was. She spit her tea back out at the idea of Ethan Bauer just teleporting into her office.
"What the? What are you doing here?" Umbridge asked in disbelief like she was having personal time. Personal time enjoying torture that was. "GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!" She shirked.
"Oh, crap. I teleported here by mistake." Ethan said to himself. "Don't get your warts squirted, Umbridge. I'm going." He grumbled. He grabbed some more Floo Powder. "The Three Broomsticks!" And this time he landed in the right place.
