"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life." -Steve Jobs.
"We interrupt this program to bring you an important announcement. Late last night, Terrorists led by the Notorious Mobster Derek Slayton, attacked St. Mungo's Hospital, killing over 150 patients and staff. The Wizarding World remains on High Alert. Details are still coming in at this time-"
"Someone turn off that Damn Radio!" Ryder shouted. Ethan turned it off for him. They were all sitting in Dumbledore's Office with Dumbledore himself. Chiara, her Father, Jae, Talbott, as well as Penny who was already evacuated back to Hogwarts during the whole Hostage Crisis.
"This never should've happened. It's all my fault." Ethan said. "I should've known it was too easy when we caught the Metamorphmagus."
He was looking down as he said it. Him losing Rowan's scarf didn't help matters.
"No it wasn't, E." Ryder replied. "I was the one who went after Ryder. I never should've taken that stupid bait. And now we're here."
"Not to mention, you saved Chiara." Jacob added.
"Thanks for that." Chiara thanked Ethan.
"And we also got the Antidote for Penny's cure for Red Dust." Jae pulled out his vial.
"You saved it?" Penny asked surprised.
"Sorry that it was all I could get my hands on." Jae replied.
"No, it's great. I don't have to start from scratch now." Penny assured looking in glee. "It's just too bad I don't have the resources like St. Mungo's has."
"At least there's 2 good things that came out of this." Dumbledore said. "Miss. Lobosca is safe, as is Hagrid, and the patients that we could save."
"Except for the ones that didn't make it." Talbott put in.
"Their souls will rest in peace, when we find Derek Slayton and bring him down." Dumbledore assured.
"I want to punch that sucker in the mouth." Penny commented.
"Get in line, Penny." Ethan replied. He wanted to sucker punch Slayton as well.
"So, what's going to happen to all of the sick and wounded in the Wizarding World?" Talbott asked.
"Well... Dumbledore and I have been talking about that with Madam Strout." Ryder explained. "Makeshift Hospitals and other places will be placed in secure locations that can serve as temporary locations to serve people."
"Well thank goodness." Chiara sighed in relief. But another part of her was thinking of something else.
"What's the matter?" Paul asked.
"It's just... t-that. I wanted to work so badly at St. Mungo's and prove that I could help people. And now... R's destroyed it. It's almost as if the Universe is just making me as miserable as possible." Chiara answered in a downer tone. "I'm sorry I let you down, Professor."
