"The real and most dangerous opponents we face in life are anger, confusion, doubt and despair. If we overcome those enemies who attack from within, we can attain a sure victory over any attack from without." -Chris Bradford.
The Month of June had always been a very stressful time around Hogwarts. It was around this time that 5th and 7th year students would start preparing for their O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts. And of course, students were stress out about the test that would determine their future. But it wasn't just the threat of that. There was another thought that was on everyone's mind. Trotsky. And his growing threat knowing that he would not leave Hogwarts alone for long.
"And I used to think that N.E.W.Ts would be the only thing we had to worry about at June when this year began." Penny was saying to Ethan at Breakfast.
"Ugh... N.E.W.Ts." Ethan groaned. "I forgot all about that." He was so busy with Trotsky that he forgot all about the N.E.W.Ts. "It's not going to matter though. I'm more concerned with the end of the world. This isn't about tests anymore." He explained.
Penny nodded. She hated the O.W.Ls as well. She was so stressed out about what had happened with her sister in her 5th year, that Penny blew off her studying for her Potions O.W.L and considered cheating to get the grade she wanted. She didn't though.
"No. It's about survival." Rath agreed going up to them.
"Hey Rath." Ethan greeted.
"Hey, Ethan." Rath greeted back. "Still thinking about Trotsky?" She asked.
"I'm always thinking about him." Ethan answered. He hadn't been sleeping well lately for the past few days. His thoughts were still about the thought of Trotsky using the Runestone and the power of the Cursed Vaults. Rath had been noticing.
"Oh, come on!" Barnaby yelled from across the hall.
Ethan, Penny and Rath looked over to see Barnaby playing Wizard Chess against the Magic Carpet. And losing. In fact, he had just lost.
"Okay... how do you lose to a rug?" Tulip asked.
"You tell me." Barnaby told her as the Carpet was looking for applause.
And Saahira was laughing at it. "Oh, Barnaby Lee. Defeated by the Magic Carpet." She recapped.
"You're not helping, Saahira." Barnaby pointed out.
Saahira giggled and Hakeem found it hilarious.
Ethan chuckled a little. Leave it to Barnaby to get beaten by a Magic Carpet of all things. That was when Sickleworth ran over while running from Kassandra. "Come back here, Sickleworth." Kassandra told him.
Sickleworth ran up to Ethan. "Hey, Sickleworth." Ethan greeted. "Still finding treasure?" He asked.
Sickleworth nodded his head. He lied on his back. Ethan took the time to rub his stomach. "Hey, Kassie. Come over here."
Kassandra walked over to Ethan. "Go ahead. You rub his stomach. And Sickleworth will love you until the day he dies." Ethan told Kassandra.
So Kassandra did, and Sickleworth loved it, and rolled right over Kassie. "Aw. I love you too, Sickleworth." Kassandra replied.
"10 years old and already great with Magical Creatures." Dumbledore said walking up with Jacob and Fudge as he noticed Kassandra.
"Hello, Professor Dumbledore." Ethan greeted. "Just showing Kassie how to bond with Sickleworth here." He explained.
"She seems to be good at it." Jacob pointed out.
"Agreed." Ethan said. "So, what's going on? Anybody else come to our aid we should know about?" He asked.
