"Trust has to be earned, and should come only after the passage of time." -Arthur Ashe.
The Group had now gathered at the Hogs Head Inn back at Hogsmeade. They all sat there in silence thinking about Griphook. But another name was on the topic. Patricia Rakepick. Who knew about the Labyrinth and could possibly help them with their issue of it. "Well... I think our mission is clear." Corey announced breaking the silence.
"It is?" Penny asked. "And what is our mission?"
"It's obvious we can't let Trotsky or his crony, Slayton get his hands on that power in that Labyrinth. We've got to get inside that Labyrinth before he does. And to do that, we're going to need some help. We need Rakepick." Corey answered.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Ethan yelled in full anger.
"But Ethan-" Corey started.
"Did you lose some brain cells when shooting that tank shell at the CD, Corey?" Ethan asked. "We can't trust Rakepick."
"I agree." Penny agreed. "I say let her rot in Azkaban for what she did to Rowan, Jacob, and Merula."
"Not to mention, attacking me and Bill in the Portrait Vault." Charlie added while glaring at Corey.
Corey sighed. Her friends were missing the point. "Listen, I know Rakepick did some bad things to us all."
"SOME bad things?" Jae asked sarcastically.
"But she is the only one who knows about the Labyrinth out of all the Curse Breakers in Gringotts. Griphook said it himself." Corey continued. "And if we don't do anything, then Slayton gets his hands on the treasure or whatever the heck it is."
"Don't tell me you are not seriously suggesting that we use Rakepick to deal with the Labyrinth." Penny grumbled.
"That's exactly what I'm suggesting." Corey replied. "Look... we can't risk Trotsky getting his hands more dark artefacts and treasures. We can't afford him getting more power. It's just like that one time when Detective Conebush had to team up with the dangerous Dark Wizard Maurice Eversnap to defeat their common enemy in Florence Darkside-" She tried to say.
But Ethan doubled down. "We're not using Rakepick. Not now! Not ever!" He declared. "And that's final!"
"You're damn right we're not." Penny agreed.
"Nope." Jae said.
"Well, I guess that's settled then." Chiara commented. She didn't trust Rakepick either. And for good reason.
"Come on!" Corey complained. "You're all missing the point."
"What point?" Ethan asked.
"We don't have to trust her. We just have to work with her and stop Slayton." Corey answered.
"What makes you think that Rakepick would side with us over him?" Charlie asked. "For all we know, she could be allied with that psychopath and could just be bidding her time."
"If she is, then why hasn't she been broken out?" Corey countered.
"Because Trotsky hates her guts." Penny answered. Which made everyone look at her. "I overheard Trotsky talking about it to Talos one night when I was in Mexico." She explained. "He hates her guts after Rakepick used the torture curse on Merula."
