Judgement Day (Hogwarts Mystery Year 7 Retell)

Chapter 1: A nice simple train ride to start the new year (NOT).

The Hogwarts Express continued onward to Hogwarts in Scotland. Ethan walked around the train cars trying to find his girlfriend, Penny Haywood. And he saw Penny asking for some Chocolate Frogs from the Trolley. She was as beautiful as ever. Her blonde hair in that hair style that Ethan wasn't even sure on how to make. It was kind of a miracle they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

He was about to walk over when he saw his other friends, Nymphadora Tonks and Tulip Karasu sitting in a compartment. "Wotcher Ethan." That was Tonks's way of greeting somebody. "You look like you put on some muscle there." She said.

"Hey, Tonks." Ethan greeted back. "What's up with you two? Any different ideas for pranks?" He asked.

Tulip was busy with her toad Dennis to notice Ethan's question. 

"Probably." Tonks answered. "We may tell you, or we may not. You are Head Boy after all." 

Ethan rolled his eyes. "Head Boy or not, I'm still same old Ethan Bauer." He tried to assure.

"You say that now." Tulip muttered. She wasn't exactly too thrilled on Ethan being a new Head Boy. That just meant more rules to follow. "Isn't that right, Dennis?" She asked.

Dennis croaked back at Tulip.

"Hello Dennis." Ethan greeted.

Dennis croaked again.

But another thought had come to Ethan. "Either of you seen Merula around?" He asked.

Tonks looked around confused. "No, haven't seen her since the end of Year 6. Why?" She asked.

Ethan sat down. And Tulip looked up at Ethan. "I need to tell you two something." Ethan then told them about what he saw with Merula and Trotsky. And the attack that occurred on Diagon Alley.

Tonks spat out her pumpkin juice and all over on Dennis. 

"You mean that Merula is in league with Iosef Trotsky? The same Iosef Trotsky who gave you that scar on your chest and the leader of R?" Tulip asked nervously.

"That would be the one." Ethan answered.

"Woah." Tonks thought. It was bad enough that Trotsky aimed to destroy all of Muggle Kind. But now, Merula Snyde was involved in all of this. The same Merula Snyde who had joined the Circle of Khanna and watched them kill Rowan Khanna.

"We'll talk later, I need to see Penny." Ethan got up and walked over to the compartment where Penny was.

Penny was looking at her wand and thinking about her Summer and how despite Beatrice and her being on better terms then last year. Beatrice still had her emo phase on her. And the pressure was on with Penny to set a good example for Beatrice and so far, at least according to her parents, Penny was failing to do that.

She wanted to celebrate Ethan's birthday, but she couldn't make it. She hoped that Ethan would understand her not being able to make it. And most of all, she did not expect Ethan to show up with a much more muscle tone when he opened the door.

"Ethan?" Penny asked delighted.

"Penny." Ethan ran up to hug her. Penny hugged him back.

"Sorry I missed your birthday." Penny apologized.

"Don't sweat it." Ethan assured. He hated it when Penny doubted herself. But there was more stuff to worry about. Ethan told Penny about what happened over his summer. About how Jacob returned home and the reunion they had with their mother. 

Penny was taking it all in. "Well that must've been awkward." 

Ethan sighed. "Except it wasn't."
