"OH you didn't know? Hailey is the evidence I'm talking about." Miguel's mom said. Medyo nagulat ako sa sinabi niya kaya napatingin ako sa mommy ko para makita ang reaction niya.

"Are you making fun of me, Mrs. Danton?" My mom said and her eyes became furious.

"Let's drop the formalities here. I don't know what happened to your brain but you don't deserved Hailey. This household made her childhood painful to the point she started to hurt herself."
Seryosong wika ng mommy ni Miguel na naging sanhi kung bakit napayuko ako.

Everything she said was true. Everytime I'm here in this house, I feel suffocated and my only escape was hurting myself.

"What are you talking about?" Naguguluhang tanong ni Mommy at napatingin saakin na para bang gusto niyang magpaliwanag ako but I remained silent.

"Then I assumed your husband knows about about Hailey's situation, am I right?" I saw from my peripheral vision how my father nodded as an answer.

"What is she talking about? Answer me!"
My mom asked again but this time she asked my father dahil hindi ako sumasagot sa tanong niya.

"Yes, I know all about Hailey's suicide attempts. From overdosing medicines to cutting her wrist." Napapikit ako sa narinig ko and hide my wrist using my sleeves. Napamulagat ako ng tingin ng yumakap si Miguel si saakin at marahang bumubulong na magiging maayos rin ang lahat.

"See? Because of your stupid thinking, you hurt your daughter." Sa boses ng Mommy ni Miguel ngayon, mararamdaman mo talagang puno ng pait yung boses niya.

"I didn't push her to do those things so basically it wasn't my fault to begin with." Halos manlumo ako sinabi ni Mommy. I didn't expect that words from my own mother's mouth.

"Bullsh*t!" Sigaw ni Miguel at napatayo ito. I can sense how angry Miguel is.

"Miguel, watch your mouth!" Pagbawal ng Papa ni Miguel sa anak niya. Agad namang huminahon si Miguel at bumalik sa pagkakaupo.

"I'm sorry, Dad." Sabi ni Miguel at bumalik siya sa pagkakayakap saakin. I can still feel that he is angry but he's trying to calm himself to refrain from shouting and cussing in front of our parents again.

Miguel's mom sighed and looked at my mom again. "Then let me ask you something. Are you willing to let us take Hailey with us?"

"No." Seryosong sagot ni Mommy sa kanya.

Pero mas nagulat ako sa kasunod na sinabi ng mommy ni Miguel.

"Then we will take this to the court." She sounds serious about taking this situation to the court.

Biglang mapatayo si Mommy dahil sa narinig niya sa Mommy ni Miguel. "Aabot ba talaga tayo sa puntong masisira ang pinagsamahan natin, Mrs. Danton?" Dimiyadong tanong ni Mommy sa Mommy ni Miguel.

"Yes, I'm willing to destroy this friendship just to free Hailey from this household." And I guess she is determined to take this to the court.

Kung aabot man sa korte ang sitwasyong ito, hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko. Ang tanging gusto ko lang ngayon ay makalaya mula sa bahay na to at magamit na ang pangalan ko.

"And you, kumpare. Even if you saved Hailey's so many times from her suicide attempts, it doesn't mean that you didn't do wrong. "If you keep on doing this Mrs. Pascua, then we will take Hailey with us." Seryosong wika ng Mommy ni Miguel.

Medyo gumaan na ang pakiramdam ko dahil may mga tumulong saakin sa problema to but I still didn't do my part in this war. However, I can still use this opportunity para makuha ko ang mga dapat kong makuha.

"Assist our guests to the exit door." Utos ni Mommy sa mga guards na dumating.

"And you two, lock this woman to her room." Utos naman ni Mommy sa dalawang katulong namin at tinuro ako.

"You want your freedom? In your dreams." Parang gustong humiwalay ng kaluluwa ko sa katawan ko. Naglaho ang kulay sa mukha ko dahil sa sinabi niya.

"You will never gonna get out from this house. You will forever be Haizel Pascua. You can keep dreaming about your freedom though." My mom again said again and this time she was laughing.

Akala ko makakalabas na ako, akala ko matatapos na ang lahat, it's a prank lang pala.

Napaupo ako sa sahig dahil nawala yung lakas ko sa mga paa ko. Unconsciously, my tears start to fall again. I feel like it's the end of the world for me. I guess I'm gonna stay here for the rest of my life.

Naramdaman ko ang mga kamay na nasa balikat ko at tinulungan akong tumayo. "I'll think of another way to take you out here."

"You don't have to do that. I'll never gonna escaped from this household. I'll die here in this house. Mamatay akong hindi man lang nagagamit ang pangalan ko. Mamatay akong hindi man lang nagagawa ang mga gusto kong gawin."
Walang buhay na sabi ko. My Operation takas was a failure from the start paano pa kaya ang planong naisip nina Miguel?

It only means that hindi na ako makakaalis sa bahay na to and act as Haizel for the rest of my life.

I can feel his shoulder shaking. Mukhang umiiyak ito kaya naman yumakap ako pabalik sa kanya.

Hindi ko alam kung ilang minuto kaming nakayakap pero hindi pinutol ng dalawang katulong namin ang pagkakayakapan namin, bagkus at hinintay nila akong ako mismo ang lumapit sa kanila.

My mom was still at the door pero nagtaka ako dahil nakatalikod lang siya at hawak niya ang ulo niya.
