"It's nice to meet you but I have to go." Mu Hyeok said as he excused himself politely. Jeong Hyeok tensed but he felt Seri's grip on his arms so he calmed himself down and just nodded.

Mu Hyeok, then, smiled one last time to Seri and walked away from them. Jeong Hyeok turned to Seri, "I'll just finish my shift." He did not say anthing and walked slowly towards the counter. Seri is left there standing and she knew she has to do something.

Mu Hyeok walked out of the coffee shop. Seri thought twice but in the end, decided to rush and follow him outside.

"Mu Hyeok ssi...." she called after him. She prepared herself with his response or to being ignored. He stopped walking but didn't face her so she stopped approaching him and waited for him instead to say anything but there was nothing.

She was caught off guard with him actually stopping so she said the first thing in her mind.

"I'm sorry..."

He did not respond and so she just decided to continue, "I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you and Jeong Hyeok. I was trying to protect him but I realized..."

"Why did you return then?" Mu Hyeok asked as he turned around to face her. Seri looked away automatically as she felt guilty in front of him. She understands where he is coming from and so she has no intention to defend herself.

"I.. I...." she stuttered, not able to explain to Jeong Hyeok's brother what has gotten over her. "Nothing changed, you're still engaged... why did you have to go back?"

Seri had her head bowed as she could only mutter again, "I'm sorry.."

"How do you plan to fix this?" he asked but continued without letting Seri answer, "Do you think you could play with his feelings like that?"

Seri looked at him, "I am doing my best to make this work." she explained. "We still haven't cancelled the wedding but Yi Soo knows. He's helping..."

"Han Yi Soo?" Mu Hyeok asked. He's familiar with their world having been Dan's family driver for a while now. He knows how the rich thinks. How could Yi Soo possibly know about this?

"It is an arranged marriage." Seri said. Mu Hyeok looked surprised but it makes sense. "I know you do not believe me but trust me when I say that I will do my best not to hurt him again..."

Mu Hyeok sighed and shook his head taking a step back, Seri could see the doubt all over his face. She wanted to say more, to assure him and make him believe in her sincerity with Jeong Hyeok. She wanted him to see through her and her intentions but she couldn't speak because of that look on his face which makes her feel small.

"You're right, I can't simply believe whatever you'll say but I know one thing is true, my brother has gone through enough already. He doesn't deserve any of this." he said with a cold and straight face, "I'll go ahead, Miss Yoon." as he politely take a step back to leave.

Seri couldn't even stop him and just watched him. She felt so frustrated with herself as she couldn't even correct him. She wasn't aware that her grip on the coffee cup tightened so much and her coffee is spilling from her hand as the cup got deformed within her grip.

She stood there motionless, still going over what happened in the last 20 minutes and where everything has gone wrong.

"Seri..." someone called from behind. She didn't respond and so he held onto her shoulders to make her turn around.

"Hey..." she slightly flinched but as she looked up, it was Jeong Hyeok. "What happened, why do you have coffee all over your pants?" he asked.

"Nothing..." she said as Jeong Hyeok took away the crushed cup from her. Jeong Hyeok tried to help her wipe the coffee off her hands and pants.
