He started walking and managed to find a taxi that would bring him to the nearest subway. He didn't know where to go. His mind went blank and as though someone flipped his world upside down with what Se Ri confessed.
He realized he is almost at the station so he looked at his phone but there were no messages. So, she really wanted to end things already.
He knew this would happen, that's why he tried his best to fight what he felt for her. And to be honest, everything was just to good to be true for them.
For the longest time, it was only him and Mu Hyeok, everything he does, he does it for himself and his brother. But she kissed him and he had plans. She was part of the plan. She is in the plans. And he knew he could not fight whatever he feels for her anymore.
He was about to say his feelings to her. He wanted to tell her something he never told anyone before. He wanted to say it to her after finishing the list. Now he feels stupid to even develop said feelings.
He even took the week off for her. For someone who was working since he could legally get a job, this would probably be the longest break he gave himself. Of course, he wanted to celebrate law school, too, but it was really because on the back of his head, he is scared that things will change once Seri get the big role in her father's company. They would not have time for each other and who knows what else would change.
He shook his head as he realized how it turned out in the end. He doesn't even have to worry about being too busy, she is engaged, to someone else.
He noticed he could see the subway station and that it was raining already. Even the weather is cooperating with his mood. He sighed as he prepared the fare for the ride. He was checking if he has the exact amount when he realized something is still in his pocket.
Jeong Hyeok almost jumped out of the taxi as he hold in his hand the keys to her car. It must have been an hour already and he checked his phone. How come she is not even messaging him, how could she get out of there?
Did she have a spare key with her?
"Excuse me, can you go back to where you picked me up? I have to- I need to go back. I forgot something" he explained as the cab made a quick u-turn.
It was already dark and there was slight traffic. He swallowed his pride and tried calling her but no one was answering. Her phone is ringing though.
Jeong Hyeok checked the time. Where is she? It is pouring. What if something happened to her? She must be in a restaurant nearby. It took them another hour to go back so she must have taken shelter on one of the buildings around the area.
He paid the cab driver and ran in the rain. He checked her car first and it was there where they left it. He looked around but there were no signs of Seri. He took shelter in a restaurant nearby as he called her phone again.
If something happened, he swore he would lose his mind. He checked her car again and ran around the area looking for any signs of her. He is almost near the beach where he left her.
Could it be? No, that's impossible. It is raining. She must have moved already but he checked everywhere and he could not find her so he decided to walk back to where he last saw her.
It was dark and he couldn't see clearly given that the rain has not stopped pouring. He tried remembering where they were seated a while ago.
He could see someone slumped in the sand. He ran as he knew it was her. What the hell is she doing?
Jeong Hyeok rushed to her side. His breath almost stilling when he saw her soaked with the rain. The sand is in her clothes. She is shivering. She must have passed out since it was too cold.
