Day of the launch
She is sitting in the car with mixed feelings. To be honest, she is over feeling nervous. She is now numb from head to toe.
The lack of sleep does not help but she could stop herself from smiling as she remembered their conversation last night.
"No, there were no donuts." she confessed and ended the call. Her heart was beating fast as she smothered herself with a pillow.
Ri Jeong Hyeok calling....
"What?" she answered but he did not respond, she could imagine his smug smile on the other line.
"Sleep tight, Yoon Seri"
"Wait, since you're already distracted, can you stay on the line?"
"Sure."
And they talked until 2 in the morning, she was telling him of all the possible scenarios that is keeping her up awake at night for the launch. And one by one, he pacified her worries.
She was still smiling looking outside the window of the limousine when she noticed her mother seated across her looking at her. She quickly removed the smile on her face and cleared her throat.
"Seri, the Hans are coming today...." her father reminded her.
"Yes, Abeoji." she nodded. "Yi Soo oppa told me."
"So you two, you have been talking?" her mother asked.
"We were apparently both graduating from
Seoul Uni, we bumped into each other on the graduation ball. He,uhm, has been keeping in touch."
"That's good, then. I guess we won't have an issue." her father said looking at her with relief. If only he knew how she has been since she learned about her father's plan for her but she decided this is not the time for that battle.
She kept quiet after that as her parents talk about a business deal Se joon has closed. She reminded herself to think of happy thoughts and all she could think of was his face.

"Hyung, where are you going?" Jeong Hyeok asked. He just woke up and it is already the noon. Mu Hyeok looked ready to go and he doesn't look like he will be going to work.
"I have a date, didn't I tell you last night?"
"I can't remember..." Jeong Hyeok said still rubbing his eyes.
"You slept late last night.."
"Yes, I was studying..."
"Do you have a study buddy?"
"What?"
"You were studying so loudly last night with someone."
Jeong Hyeok realized his brother heard him talking to Se Ri. Does he know?
"You don't have to look like that, Jeong Hyeok. You're not in highschool anymore. You should try dating too."
"It's not like that, Hyung."
"It sure sounded like that....at least from your laugh. Don't worry I wasn't trying to listen.. it's just that I think you were really into her given that I've never seen you so chatty."
Jeong Hyeok decided to give up defending himself. It really wasn't like that but if his brother says so, then, he should just let it be.
"I'll be going. Enjoy your day off." Mu Hyeok said as he fixed his hair again in front of the mirror.
