Seri went to work earlier than usual as there is an early huddle today and Manager Hong will present the performance of their launched products. She is seated on the side along with some of the heads of the marketing department. She could see the graph presented in the screen but she could not hear the presenter as her mind is elsewhere but in the room.

The weekend did felt like a dream between the launch and Jeong Hyeok, she has never felt at peace before. She could not help but daydream about their date last night. Everything really feels foreign to her. Sure, she dated in college, mostly introduced by her brothers or by Seo Dan but nothing felt close to this.

"It was all thanks to Ms.Yoon here who worked hard for the event." she heard as she snapped out of her thoughts, the people in the room looked at her as they started to clap for her. She smiled to acknowledge the praises from the room. Manager Hong continued his speech, "It's sad that she would move on to her next role but we are thankful that we had the chance to work with her here in this department."

She looked around and noticed that people are still staring at her as if waiting for her to say something. She kept smiling and simply thanked Manager Hong as people wished her well for her next role.

The meeting ended and that is when she saw a text message from Han Yi Soo.

"I hope you did not forget about our lunch today."

It was sent 1 hour ago. She looked at the time and saw it was almost noon time, it's probably too late to cancel. Maybe she could come up with a fake emergency or tell him she has an upset stomach. Just when she decided on going for an upset stomach, her phone started ringing.

"Oppa" she answered the phone and tried sounding sick but to her disappointment, he answered with "Se Ri, I'm in the lobby but no pressure. I parked my car, I'll wait for you if you're not yet ready."

He sounded nervous and she did not have the heart to turn him down now that he is in the lobby waiting for her.

"Uhm, my meeting actually just finished. I'll be right there in a few minutes." she said trying to hide the guilt in her tone.

She got her things and headed down for an early lunch break and no one said a thing about it, as expected. She could totally have things her way in the office and no one would even stop her. As she reached the lobby, she saw him seated in the waiting area. He was looking at his phone wearing a dress shirt like a true businessman.

When he saw her walking towards him, she saw how his face light up. And there is that feeling of guilt again, how could she be suddenly in this situation. She should let him know or Jeong Hyeok. They both deserve the truth, no matter how complicated that is.

"Hi..." he greeted her as he reached for her bag. She let him help her with the bag thinking it was the right thing to do. She saw a group of employees gathered around the door, she knew they recognized her and probably, Yi Soo too. To be honest, Yi Soo isn't that bad and he is known to be the heir of their company and much more exposed in the media so she understood the attention they are now receiving in her father's building lobby.

"I made a reservation on the restaurant a few minutes away from here. Shall we?" he asked her and she nodded as she followed his lead.

Waking up on a Monday feels different when there is no more exam to prepare for. He stayed up late talking to Se Ri last night. He could not explain how they are able to have the most interesting conversations when they are from different worlds.

He is now catching up with Eun Dong and Ju Meok who are both sharing stories from the launch. The coffee shop is not yet busy as it just opened. Jeong Hyeok listened as he would laugh from time to time at Ju Meok's impression of some of the influencers taking pictures.
