First Love Never Dies- A Samtin Story

Chapter 31

Hi guys!

It's been a long time since I last updated but there's a reason for it and I hope you guys will understand.

I was actually only a paragraph short of this chapter when I published the previous chap. I was going to publish it right away. But then.. After watching the interview of Toni on The Buzz wherein she and Paul announced their engagement, I suddenly lost the drive to continue writing this story. I didn't know how to finish this chapter. I didn't know how to write this story anymore. I am a die hard fan of Samtin and when I learnt about Toni's engagement, it pricked my heart. I was happy for her, but as a forever samtin fan, I guess a small part of me hoped it wasn't what's really happening. But, again, I am really happy for her. You can see in her eyes how happy she was. This might sound like I have exaggeratedly reacted on Toni's engagement.. but the thing is.. I've been what.. a fan of Samtin for ten years. That looong. And at that moment, when I was watching the Buzz.. I almost lost the faith. I almost lost my faith on the two people that served as my inspiration for ten years (I mean on the loveteam not as individuals). I almost lost the faith that I have been keeping. But then seeing Ate Tin that happy.. the broad smiles, the sparkle on her eyes, her glowing face.. it made me realise that samtin is truly an end game in real life and I just have to accept it. Well, I kind of accepted it na when Toni and Direk Paul started dating.. But I still had hope before because there wasn't any engagement or wedding happening yet. haha. XD But yeah, I guess it's really time to move on and start over again.. Sephlex this time. HAHAHA. jokes. XD But it made me realise too, that no matter what.. they would always be my greatest OTP on screen. :) Don't take this the wrong way. I like Paul. If Toni is the ultimate multimedia star, Paul is the ultimate boyfriend. And they deserve each other. :) And, you just couldn't deny that he's also a good looking man. hihi. XD He's like a perfect package for a perfect girl like ate tin. :) Conclusion: I am happy for Paultin but I still hope for a Samtin reunion on screen. HAHA. XD :)

Okay, that was a really long speech. HAHA. XD

Anyway, you'll know why it took me so long to finish this chapter. This chapter, i think, is one of the hardest chapters of FLND that I have ever written so far especially now that I have accepted Samtin's fate. hahaha. XD

Chapter 31 - Dazed

Toni didn't exactly know how to react to what she had discovered. She was dazed by the revelations his eyes divulged. She wanted to confront him but she still wasn't sure if her theory was right. She could only think of one alternative and that was to walk away. Toni averted her gaze from Sam and stepped away, letting go of herself from his touch. It's a good thing that Jing met up with her to escort her back to her dressing room. Or else, she couldn't have kept it together and might have demanded him answers on the spot, with the possibility of more than twenty people watching them try to deal with her presumption. And she wasn't in for humiliation.

Vehement emotions still surging throughout his body and reigning in his features, Sam watched Toni made her exit. And once she was out of his line of sight, he stared into space. A rough pat on his back cracked his poignant trance. He turned his head to the side and found Pratty, donning a worried look. "Ok ka lang, bro?"

He lightly shook his head before turning on his heels, leaving his concerned best friend.

Toni shut the door closed behind her and slumped on the folding chair. She let out a loud sigh and lifted her head up, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't help but wonder if all of this would happen if she didn't accept the offer to work with him again. But they already made few movies after the abrupt end of their budding romantic relationship before and nothing happened.. nothing like this happened. So, it didn't make sense that these things were happening now. Especially, this time when people are excited and thirsty for the details of her upcoming wedding.
