Chapter 9

Heyya guys! How's it going?

Here's another (rushed) chapter for you. :) It's kind of a filler chapter just like the previous one but I hope you'll enjoy it. 

I pretty much rushed it, coz I want to get it done as soon as possible so I can start revising for exams. So, I'm sorry if this chapter's not that good. Like I always say, I haven't edited it yet like all the other chapters, so if you spotted errors, it's best to just ignore it. haha.

Ashleigh held her hand out to Toni and Toni shook it roughly than what she had in mind.

"Nice to meet you," Toni greeted her apathetically, forcing a smile.

"Nice to meet you, too," she responded ardently.

"Oi, Sam. Ipakilala mo naman daw yan kay Vhong. And wala ba yang kapatid na lalaki?," Vice called out to Sam from the couch, teasing Vhong, waggling his eyebrows exaggeratedly.

Sam snaked his arm around Ashleigh's waist and led her through the crowd to introduce her to everyone sitting in the living room.

"Uhm, Paul. Punta lang ako ng cr. Ikaw na muna magaccomodate sa kanila, ha," Toni said passively.  

Toni squeezed herself through the crowd before vanishing to the toilet. She wasn't going to pee or anything, she didn't know why but she just felt that she had to go away and have a time alone with herself.

After Sam introduced Ashleigh, Paul escorted them to the dining room where the foods are. Then, he went back to the living room. He was uncertain as to why Toni hasn't come back yet. So he headed off to the toilet. The door was open. Toni wasn't there. He couldn't go upstairs to check if she was in her bedroom because of the rule strictly set by her parents. No one is allowed in her bedroom, not even Paul or her friends. So, he just sat back to where he was sitting in the living room and waited for Toni.

Paul sat twitchy on his seat. Toni was gone for half an hour and he was beginning to worry. He called Catherine, stealing her away from her friends, "Cath, can you check if Toni is in her bedroom? Sabi niya kanina she was just going to the comfort room. Hindi pa siya bumabalik."

"Okay," she said wittily before prancing up the stairs, holding the wooden banister for support.

Cathy opened the door and barged in Toni's bedroom. She found Toni sitting at the end of her bed, frozen. Her face scrunched, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Oi, ate. Anong ginagawa mo dito? Ba't ganyan itsura mo? Naka-inom ka ba?" Cathy asked worriedly, with a little hint of humour in her voice.

Toni didn't reply. She didn't even notice Cathy entered her bedroom.

Cathy sat next to Toni and waved her hands against Toni's eyes, "Oi, ate!" Toni sprung a little when she finally became aware of her sister's presence.

"Anong nangyari sayo?"

"Wala lang. May mga iniisip lang," Toni said dully.
