----------------------------
Sam arrived late for yet another shooting day. He decided to go to work even though he wasn't feeling good. His head was still throbbing from his hangover. His road manager assisted him to the tent, only to be blocked by a throng of nosy reporters. His headache worsens knowing the fact that it would take time to escape from them.
"Tabi lang po. Kailangan na po ni Sam mag-ayos," Sam's manager begged as he protected Sam from the prying reporters who were irksomely ramming against each other to get Samuel's comment about Toni and Paul's engagement.
"Ano po ang masasabi niyo sa engagement ni Paul at Toni?" The reporter from 'The Buzz' asked him, struggling to maintain her position because the other reporters were casually shoving her to the side.
"Sam! Sam! Balita namin kasama ka nung nagpropose si Paul kay Toni?" The other reporter from PEP hollered, raising his recorder towards Sam's direction. He tussled the other reporters in front of him as he was at the very back of the large crowd.
"Totoo bang engaged ka na rin sa sinsabi mong 'friend' mo na galing US?"
"Sam, pwede mo bang ikwento kung anong nangyari sa Birthday Party kagabi?"
Sam, hearing all these people asking him about Paul and Toni's engagement, just degenerated his state. He was feeling as if he was going to topple, when some of the production team came to the rescue. In no time, Sam was able to get away.
"Okay ka lang?" His manager asked as soon as they broke away from the crowd.
"Nope. I need a rest," Sam replied, rubbing his hammering head with his weak fingers.
When he entered the tent, he hastily sat on his already set up folding chair. He closed his eyes and took a gulp of air. This is the first time he ever experienced such horrible hangover. He was in pain. A voice inside his head was asking him if he was really in pain because of the hangover or was he in pain because of something else. Something that he was denying all this time. His cloud of thoughts was forcibly grabbed away by Direk Joel.
"Sam, okay ka lang ba? Umuwi ka na muna. Bukas na lang tayo magshoot ng scenes mo." There was a concerned look in Direk Joel's eyes.
"Kaya ko po, Direk. I'll be all good in a minute just give me a few more seconds to rest." He collected all the energy left in his body to forge a smile. He didn't want to stop the shooting just because of his foolish condition.
"Sure ka?"
"Yes po," Sam reassured him and gave him a compelling grin.
He watched Direk Joel go and instruct the production team to get ready. His face lost its zeal once again and his brain was back to processing what happened last night. A surge of memories flooded his mind, specifically the moment when he mistakenly entered Toni's room. Toni's reaction was engraved on his mind. She was shocked, but somewhere on her cheeks, he saw a tint of a reddish hue. It was funny and cute seeing her cover her eyes with her hands, he thought. How he missed the witty and bubbly side of Toni. (1)He missed the times when he was having a bad day and she would just make a certain face, and it would automatically cheer him up. (2)He missed the times when he had someone like her to share all his secrets with. He missed everything about her and it was perturbing him. Sam's thoughts were intervened when he heard people treading heavily and hurriedly outside the tent. He rose to his feet like greased lightning to know what the ruckus was all about. He staggered on his way to the opening of the tent and witnessed the swarming reporters, visibly combating for their lives to interview Direk Joel.
