After being submerged, Sam and Toni swam back to the surface. They panted and spit out the water that they managed to take in as they plunged to the water.

Toni squinted at him, struggling to see his face clearly because of the water dripping down from her tousled hair that was covering parts of her face and because of the sun behind him. Sam laughed at the sight of Toni's face masked with a chunk of hair. Toni ran her hands through her hair until she could see clearly. She suddenly sank a little under water because she forgot to concentrate on keeping herself afloat. This earned her another roaring laugh from Sam.

Toni rolled her eyes and smiled wickedly as she splashed water at him. Sam narrowed his eyes as the water splattered against his direction. Toni burst out hysterics. He smiled mischievously at her and dunked under water, wanting revenge. Toni's brows furrowed, forming rumples on her forehead when Sam was suddenly out of her sight. Knowing that Sam was up to something, her heart raced.

She flailed her legs and treaded the water using her arms as she began propelling towards the shallow side of the pool. Sam trailed after her under water like a shark waiting to attack its prey. When he saw Toni settled on one spot, he sneaked his arms up to her waist to startle her and floated back up. Toni shrieked, managing to slip her right foot. Sam's eyes widened and his arms instinctively and swiftly caught Toni. She gasped and sighed with relief, looping her arms him. He pulled her back, closing the gap between them. Her eyes met Sam's and she held his stare. A memory from the past arose.

(1)When Pinoy Big Brother Season One ended, the Season One housemates along with the hosts of the show, Toni and Mariel Rodriguez, went to Boracay to take a break from their busy schedule to spend tim unwinding in the beautiful island of Boracay. Sam and Toni were just getting to know each other back then. Sam was very shy around Toni while Toni was still her usual bubbly and witty self.

The day's activity was to ride a banana boat. It is an inflatable recreational boat where three to ten riders sit on a large, main tube, shaped like a banana. The riders can rest their feet on two laterally flanking tubes which main purpose was to stabilise the boat.

Everyone, including Uma, Cass, Jason, Nene, Say, Franzen and JB, were already on the Banana boat aside from Toni, Mariel and Sam. Toni was struggling to put on her black life jacket. Mariel tried to help but failed.

"Do you guys want any help?" Sam asked shyly, when he noticed and heard Toni and Mariel sighing in exasperation.

Mariel nodded before saying in between huffs, "Thank you, Sam. Ang pangit nung binigay nilang life jacket kay Toni. Ang hirap i-lock nung mga straps."

"No worries. You can go ahead. I'll.. uhm.. help T-toni," Sam stuttered a little and flashed his charming smile.

Mariel responded with a beam before hopping on the boat. Toni and Sam looked at each other awkwardly when Mariel had gone off.

"U-uhmm. T-toni. I think your vest should be the other way around," Sam muttered timidly, avoiding direct eye contact with Toni.

"Ayy, oo nga noh." Toni frowned and groaned. She disrobed the vest and turned it around.

Sam gulped when she saw Toni in a sexy, floral bikini top, exposing her flat stomach. He craned his head away and pretended to fix his own vest. Toni put on her life jacket for the third time and locked the straps and ties but she couldn't quite buckle up the three buckles in front.
