Sam leaned closer to her ears and whispered something to her. Toni's lips widen into a broad smile. "I brought you your favourite tiramisu."

Samuel exposed an Italian dessert made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone cheese placed perfectly on a medium-sized plastic box.

"Anong meron? Anong naisip mo? Bakit ka nagdala ng tiramisu?" Toni's eyes crinkled as her smile reached her ears at the thought of chomping her favourite, tiramisu and at the thought of Sam's effort to bring her one of her favourite foods.

"Wala lang. It has been 2 years na since we worked together on screen. You know, I missed working with you. And.. I missed hearing your hungry stomach,"he grinned, teasing her rumbling stomach.

"Ay, wag mo kong binobola ha. Ikaw talaga! Halika na nga. Kumain na tayo,"she said giddily, avoiding any eye contact with Sam.

"Alright."

------------------------------------

A loud knock on the car window stole their concentration on finishing the slice of tiramisu on their plastic plates. Sam opened the door and found Toni's new personal assistant, Jing.

"Sorry Ate Toni.. Kuya Sam... Kanina pa po kayo hinahanap ni Direk. Start na daw po ng second scene niyo."

"Ayy, Sige. Tapos na rin naman kami kumain."

Toni placed her plate down and smoothened her top. "Let's go, Sam. Magagalit na naman sa atin si Direk."

"Wait."

"Oh, bakit?"

"You have a little bit of cream right here." Sam's skin touched her radiating face as he gently wiped the corner of her lips with a napkin. Toni swallowed, her throat became dry. She froze while her eyes fixated on what his hand was doing with her lips.

Realising that she was standing there like a statue, she regained her composure and said,  "Oi! Ano ka ba, Sam! Tara na nga!" She bent down and got out of the car.

"Yup, I'm coming," he answered as he pushed the car door closed.

------------------------------

They went back to the tent where Director Joel was waiting.

"San kayo galing?" Direk Joel asked them, one of his eyebrows raised to his forehead.

"Uhmm. Sa kotse lang po, direk. Kumain lang po," Sam replied, glancing at Toni, asking her to agree with  him.

"Opo, Direk. Nagutom kasi ako eh," she added.

"Hindi man lang kayo nag-alok?" he asked and smiled.

"Sorry po, Direk. Naubos na po namin eh," they both replied.

"I was just kidding. O sige, start na tayo."

------------------------------

After the shoot, Sam, who was lying uncomfortably on his circular bed, couldn't help but think about what happened. The scene of him wiping the small amount of cream at the corner of her lips was continuously playing on his mind. Why the hell did I do that, he fought with himself. She still has that effect on him and it never went away. He still admires her but that's it. He didn't have any plans of taking it further than that. He respects Paul and he believes that what they had in the past would stay forever in the past. He reached for his script folded on top of his bedside table.
