Walking through the streets of Magnolia Elfman couldn't help but feel that something was changing. Maybe he could feel it in the wind or the sound of his footfalls on the hard cobble stone streets, streets that he has known since he was a child but something was changing. He could most importantly feel it in his heart. The heavy sinking feeling that was like he was saying goodbye to something, something he never though he would have to and something he didn't want to. Elfmans eye's glided to his side looking at his and Evergreens intertwined hands feeling his throat clog up as he looked at their hands. He knew that who ever he had sensed back at the dandelion fields was bringing a change and one that couldn't be avoided. Elfman stepped up and past the Fairy Tail steps his hand placed on the large wooden doors freezing in place as he looked up at the large building.
"Elfman what's wrong?" Evergreen asked seeing Elfman's eyes glaze over as he looked up at the building.
"Nothing" Elfman hoarsely muttered beginning to push the door open stepping into the loud guild hall both tables and chairs being flung across the hall in a violent fight. Elfman and Evergreen dodged around flying chairs and beer mugs incredibly nimbly as everybody in the guild was very experienced at dodging such items.
"ELFMAN"
Elfman's ears twitched drawing his dead pan face upwards as his sister yelled at him next to the guild master her hands beckoning both him and Evergreen over.
Evergreen felt Elfmans hand tighten around her own as he began to move forwards towards his sister Mirajane and Lisanna who by the looks of it had only arrived recently. Evergreen looked up worriedly at Elfman First there was the moment in the field, and now he is feeling... I don't know, but why did the entire field go quiet?. And what was it that he heard?. Evergreen thought shooting glares at the throwers of certain mugs that got a little to close to her face watching as the scrambled back apologizing profusely. Evergreen felt numb like somebody has just walked over her grave as she watched Elfman while she walked, his shadow of sadness was passing over her as well making her insides feel empty and voided, her senses dull until they were both standing in front of the guild master.
"QUIET EVERYBODY" Makarov yelled slamming his mug down instantly the ruckus of the guild becoming instantly silent before a quiet chatter filled the silence. Makarov turned his attention back towards the two young mages standing in front of him both of their expressions serious as he watched them.
"Elfman... are you aware that you have become an interest to certain people" Makarov said quietly felling a tension in the air.
"You mean besides reporters" Elfman said crossing his arms and leaning back slightly.
Makarov grunted taking a long swig of his alcohol before continuing "Yes besides reporters, Elfman there are many people in this world that would use the power you have or Natsu has for good or evil. But there are some people that use this as a threat, a weapon and a tool to bring an unending terror to this world, these people are interested in you." Makarov said his concern rising as he saw Elfman's eyes break contact and drift to the side. "They have already approached you haven't they"
Evergreen's eyes widened as she turned and looked at Elfman feeling the tension in the air become thick as the entire guild started to listen.
"...I have been sensing somebody who has been following me I don't know who but this person feel's...unnatural" Elfman said the presence in the field were not the only times he has sensed him, he remembered times when he felt him walking home or through a street like he was never alone.
"Elfman do you think you might know who this person is" Mirajane said concernedly placing her hand on Elfmans arm.
"I'm afraid that I do" Said Master Makarov "This person is a member for the experimental magic division from the grand magic council. They are a group little heard of but incredibly dangerous and serpentine that do anything to collect what they want."
Elfman suddenly grew angry his hair beginning to stand up on end and a move around like a current was charging it. "I didn't ask for a soul to be forced into mine and I want little to do with these unmanly cowards that resolve to stalking people and manipulating them to gain what they want" Elfman said quietly his cold anger dripping off his words.
"Elfman these people will never take you okay, nobody in this guild or me or you sisters would let them" Evergreen said smiling up at Elfman as the whole guild yelled with their agreement stamping their feet and cheering in whole.
Elfman smiled twisting his head around as he smiled at his entire family behind him "Ahh who ever said life was perfect anyway" Elfman said laughing as he turned back around.
"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory" Master Makarov said glad to see Elfman smiling again and shared his words of wisdom.
"That's pretty deep and manly master" Elfman said rubbing the back of his head.
"Yes I agree" A oily and still voice said his voice hardly a whisper but heard by every member of the guild.
The entire guild turned around as light steps echoed on the solid wooden planks his white cloak fluttering in the breeze as he stood in the middle of the room.
"Hello Elfman it's been awhile" Calador said pulling back his hood revealing a pale face topped with white greasy locks his old Guild mark standing stark on his white skin on his forehead.
Elfman's eyes widened with shock anger swirling around him as he looked at the thin an unnatural man in front of him.

Yay 2nd chapter took me awhile to write this one but I've got to say the start of this story will be pretty dark but don't worry there will be romance. I've also got to say that yes a huge story hero of mine has died today and I have used a quote of his in this story " A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory" Spock will forever be remembered :')
Lots of love and hugs and cookies for those that read and review
