Dust motes filtered through the cold dark canyon, the vague morning light barely illuminating them as they swirled in untidy loops above Evergreen's watching eyes. The immense canyon walls stretched so far up that the first of the sun's rays did not touch the depths of the canyon, but left everything gray and colourless. It was the middle of autumn and the harsh cold bite emphasized the depressing surroundings.
Damn it's cold Evergreen thought snuggling deeper into her sleeping bag, her eyes following the hypnotic swirl of the dust motes. Pulling the dark blue jacket tighter the Burnett took comfort in the warmth of the large piece of clothing, bitter sweet emotions spinning like the dust motes inside her. Elfman is always great to snuggle up against Evergreen thought miserably remembering on cold mornings whether they were on a job or not she always enjoyed cuddling up to him. A soft rustling disturbed the early morning silence and her thoughts as a large figure moved up and out of his sleeping bag. Glancing over, Evergreen watched as Laxus removed his foot from his sleeping bag, his body twisting left and right as he cracked his back and stretched out his cramped muscles from the rough sleep.
A small smile twitched over Evergreen's mouth as she watched Laxus look down at Freed, who's own sleeping bag was rumpled down and beneath his arms exposing them to the cold morning air. Evergreen's smile spread as Laxus lent down and quietly pulled up Freed's sleeping bag tucking it up and around his chin making sure his lovely green hair wasn't caught in the zippers. His hands movements were unusually timid and careful as they brushed against the green haired man's chin as he adjusted the thick sleeping bag. Sitting up Laxus's profile body looked down at Freed for a couple of seconds before twisting around and moving towards the campfire, his back towards Evergreen and his eyes watching the warm flickering embers. Loneliness and sickness soured her touched smile as she felt the first twinges of nausea stir her innards ,the sick feeling increasing by the second as Evergreen quietly struggled out of her sleeping bag. Quickly shaking off Elfman's jacket and stuffing it in her bag ,Evergreen quietly ran around one of the sharp bends in the canyon behind the crashed train and behind an inconspicuous rock. Doubling over Evergreen felt her arms grip the rock wall beside her, her fingers dragging mil-dewy soot underneath her nails. Bile collected in her throat as the fairy mage violently threw up, the nasty bile coating her tongue and irritation inflamed her as an unwilling groan escaped her lips.
Leaning back up Evergreen saw the finale morning stars disappear as the slither of the dark gray sky began to change into a deep aubergine purple, their twinkling smiles dissolving and winking out. Looking back down Evergreen sighed "God you are becoming trouble aren't you" Evergreen said a tender smile replacing her scowl as she placed a hand on her stomach feeling the soft folds of her pajama shirt shift . Small twinges of excitement began bubble up inside of her. I can't wait to tell your father about you Evergreen thought her heart swelling as she thought of him, but I hope he knows we are coming....

"Alright everyone lets go!" Natsu yelled while Happy appeared and latched onto his back. Dawn had barely broken when everybody was roused, sleeping bags were zipped up, bed clothes were exchanged for there usual attires, bags were packed and Natsu had even eaten the flames in the fire pit leaving everything as it once was.
"Finally" Evergreen muttered, her feet were itching to leave this dark cold canyon and continue their search. Sprouting her wings Evergreen shifted left and right as she flew upwards at an impressive speed, hearing the flap of wings ripping through the air Evergreen saw Mirajane sore up towards the sky keeping pace with herself as they reached the mouth of the canyon.
Early morning sunlight glared into Evergreens eyes making her cringe as she soared above a huge grassy plain the ruined train tracks cutting through the grassy field just to her right. The brilliant blue sky enhancing the brightness that drenched her pale skin as she quickly lowered herself to the grassy plain hearing may feet do like wise. Rubbing her eyes Evergreen's eyes widened as she saw a bright dandelion burning next to her foot. The bright petals burned like an inferno against the pure grass. Evergreen felt her throat convulse and catch as she remembered the huge significance of this small lonely flower.
