"Goodness, that took some time to varnish the roof" Freed puffed and mopped some sweat daintily from his brow. Elfman smiled over glasses of orange juice that he was pouring.
"Yeah it definitely took longer than I thought. But that stuff is so sticky" Elfman handed the glass to Freed and the two looked at the dirty, sticky spots covering their bodies from the water proof varnish they were spreading.
"It was most definitely worth it. The house is now complete" Freed nodded his thanks and gratefully took the orange juice.
"You two better not have spread varnish in my house!" Evergreen growled and tried to move as gracefully as she could into the kitchen. A near impossible feat for a certainly nine month pregnant woman, that is also disturbingly tired and sleepy all the time.
"Our house Ever" Elfman wrote and Evergreen rolled her eyes. Freed smiled and looked back at Elfman.
"Laxus and Bickslow are both sorry that they couldn't help...Well Bickslow anyway. Laxus almost feels above general work when he is in a mood. But they are on a job themselves anyway" the lithe man sighed with envy. He misses his Laxus.
"That's alright-"Elfman began when Ever cut in.
"And I bet Bickslow is sad he missed his opportunity for more whale jokes!" Evergreen snarled. It wasn't that, that was really pissing her off. Although being constantly called 'a beached whale' wasn't exactly pleasant. Her fits of exhaustion were becoming more and more frequent and more and more draining. Last night she slept for twelve hours straight and found her body unwilling to move. Walking into the kitchen was a huge feat in itself and she found herself leaning back, disorientated and far from polite. And Ever honestly just wanted this baby out. Shivering Evergreen felt something pinch in her, and nearly gagged as something popped. A large warm hand touched her arm and Ever opened her weak eyes. Elfman's face looked warped and twisted in her gaze and she could hardly read the words he wrote.
"Ever, you shouldn't be up".
"He is right. You aren't looking well" Freed said and moved to her other side to steady her.
"I'm f-fine" Evergreen stammered and felt her skin prickle as she felt sweat race down her freezing skin. "I-I'm so c-cold" Evergreen shivered and felt her body try to hunch over as a terrible bout of exhaustion washed over her. Feeling her legs collapse, Evergreen bit her lip to stop a groan and felt her body being pulled up by Elfman. The air nipped at her exposed skin as Elfman moved quickly into the lounge and placed her onto the large comfy couch and wrapped her up in the blanket there.
"What's happening?!" Freed's voice echoed like it was being shouted down a long tunnel. Evergreen felt such pain blossom in her and felt even more of her energy slip away from her until she could hardly open her eyes. Evergreen forced herself to keep her eyes open and felt pain stab inside again, and far worse this time. Barely being able to move her hand, Ever reached up and tapped Elfman's fingers, but she was so weak he didn't notice. Freed's voice was now a jumble of noises and Evergreen could hardly see a few centimeters in front of her, let alone the blur that was Elfman's hand. Pain flashed in her again and Ever tapped against Elfman's hand more desperately, and after what felt like an age, Elfman looked down and hunkered next to her. Her hand fell to her swollen stomach and Evergreen tried to capture her breath.
"E-Elfman" Evergreen whispered, but she hardly heard her own voice. The blur that was Elfman's face leaned in closer and Evergreen sucked in another shaky breath. "My-my" Evergreen groaned and blinked at Elfman. Waves of dizziness attacked her and Evergreen forced her words out.
"My water just broke".

"God dammit this is boring" Gajeel howled and smashed his beer mug into the table. "I need someone to fight that isn't Ice Boy, or Salamander".
