Evergreen yawned tiredly in her new bed of her new house, and looked despondently at her otherwise empty bed. It was her second night sleeping here. Five months have passed since Elfman and the rescue team's return to Magnolia, and those five months have become rather prominent on Evergreen...Obviously. Groaning as she sat up, Evergreen reached for the glass of water on her bedside table and took a tiny sip and felt her stomach tickle as the baby moved. Rubbing her stomach happily, Ever looked at her door and frowned at it.
"Where is that idiot?" Evergreen whispered and was hit by a wave of exhaustion. They had only returned to the guild for a couple of weeks when Elfman nearly carried her to Porlyusica's tree house for a check up. But sure enough, as soon as Elfman and she walked up her steps and told her their situation, all the facts were laid down and all the theories too.

"Well Evergreen since you shouldn't be pregnant" Porlyusica shot Elfman a glare. "There is a number of things that could happen as side effects-".
"Wait a minute. She won't be hurt would she?" Elfman wrote.
"It is a possibility, that the baby may hurt her" Porlyusica said. Elfman swallowed tightly and looked at his feet.
"Elfman I will be fine" Evergreen soothed and shot a death glare at Porlyusica. She glared back.
"Okay you said the chances of me getting pregnant were near impossible. How am I pregnant?" Evergreen looked at Elfman's concerned face and noticed that he still had deep bags around his eyes and watched him rub and adjust his stomach, which clearly still hurt. Evergreen shuffled closer and laid her head on his shoulder.
"Quit being romantic in my house!" Porlyusica snarled at Ever.
"More like your tree" Evergreen whispered and Elfman looked concernedly at her and wrapped his arm around her.
"Oh for gods sake" the doctor groaned. "Look, when I diagnosed Elfman as infertile, I did so because because the chances of him impregnating a girl was so tiny that it was next to impossible or there was something different about you. Which I have checked your newest blood sample and there is nothing different about you. So congrats Evergreen, you are his impossible girl" Porlyusica snapped sarcastically.
"Okay now how could the baby hurt her?" Elfman wrote.
"Don't know yet. Side effects can develop with time, could be anything from mild headaches. To death. So we must wait" Porlyusica got up. "I making a drink. I would offer you two one but she can't drink" the witch turned to her kitchen.
"Wait a drink? A Drink, drink. As in alcoholic?" Ever asked and ignored her death comment.
"Yes!" Porlyusica snapped.
"IT'S TEN O'CLOCK IN THE FUCKING MORNING!" Evergreen yelled and stood up. Elfman pulled her back down.
"Ever..." Elfman mouthed and touched her stomach. Evergreen frowned at the fear in his eyes.
"The...the baby. It could hurt you!" Elfman's hand began to tremble and Evergreen took it in her own.
"Great job witch doctor. He has only just begun to stop worrying over the fact that I'm pregnant, and then you just say it could kill me! Nice fucking work!" Evergreen smiled at Elfman and wrapped her arms around his neck. Porlyusica groaned in the distance.
"This isn't some crappy Twilight story, Elf" Ever whispered. "I'm not dying. I'm not even sick. I'm just pregnant with our child". Elfman blinked and worked his jaw.
"I'm a queen" Evergreen tossed her head snootily. "And a queen's little prince or princess doesn't kill their queen".
"That's fucking gay, Evergreen!" Porlyusica called from the kitchen.
