Thunder boomed and roared inside the deep cloud basin, the walls pulsing and growling with every blast of wind that threatened to rip apart the rescue teams little safe haven in the clouds. With each pulse of the clouds, the walls began to stretch up even further into the sky. The seams of each wall meeting high above them, slowly but surely cutting off all light from the sun and encapsulating the group yet again into darkness.

"C'mon, if you don't fly up here now, that wind will batter y'all into oblivion" the man leaning over the rail of the Lightning Eater hollered his hand gesturing up hastily.

"Laxus should we...?" Evergreen yelled towards her leader while pulling her glasses back on.

"I don't think we have a choice" Laxus bellowed back.

"We have to go up there" Wendy yelled fatigue etched into the young girls face "the man's right. If we stay that wind will rip us to shreds!"

Evergreen watched Laxus's jaw clench as he looked into the eye of the lightning pirate above them, thunder splitting Evergreen's ears with each clap as the seconds dragged on.

"Fine" Laxus yelled, his purple rune wings flinging him up the side of the floating ship and over the side.

Following his lead, Evergreen soared laboriously up the side of the charcoal coloured ship, hearing just under the heavy tolls of thunder Mirajane's leathery wings beating behind her. Just as she reached the rim of the ship a large rough hand grabbed her cold shoulder and hauled her over the edge and quickly set her on the saturated deck. Staggering backwards as the ship rocked in the air Evergreen was relieved to be on reasonably solid ground, her legs trembling beneath her as she collapsed on the ground.

"No time for that!" the hooded man yelled at Evergreen, doing a double take as Mirajane soared and landed on the deck in her Satan soul form. Quickly hauling Evergreen's remaining companions onto the deck, the pirate grabbed her and Wendy along with Carla from the floor and hauled them towards the large wooden door of the captains cabin. Rain once more fired down upon them from above, the cold droplets stinging Evergreen's bare arms as she stagger towards the door. Releasing Evergreen against the door the hooded man lunged back and grabbed Natsu, already green in the face as he and the remainder of the group lurched forward. With his hand glowing white, the pirate placed his hand in the middle of the thick black door. As he did so small sharply edged runes written around the edge of the door glowed blue, the door shifting open slightly with a crack. Gripping the edge of the door the pirate shoved against the door with all of his might, flinging open the door as he ran inside along with Natsu and Wendy. "Quickly get in NOW"

Slipping inside the door Evergreen reached back and grabbed Mirajane's clawed hand and hauled her in with herself. Feeling the clawed hand changed shape Mirajane's true body staggered into her own just as the wind finally breached the thick wall of cloud. With a massive boom the wind battered against the ship making it groan as the dense wood absorbed the intense battering. Lurching forward Evergreen roughly grabbed Freed and Bickslow's hands pulling them in just at the last moment before they got sucked out of the door by the wind, Laxus's own body being hauled in like a sack of potatoes by Freed .

"Follow me" the man barked his voice deep, rough and distinct from an unusual accent that rolled under his tongue. The pirate's legs easily adjusting to the lurching roll of the ship as he strode forward in lengthy strides down the dimly lit hall way and into a brightly lit room.

Crab walking along the walls Evergreen nervously clasped her hands together, not trusting the floor beneath her feet nor the people that they will inevitably meet at the end of this hall. Despite her nerves Evergreen looked curiously up at the walls she walked beside fascinated by the interesting sources of light. Intricate tear shape glass vials dotted the wall, each glass drop at the base and the top was adorned with brass metal cogs that ticked silently against the glass. With each mute click of a clock work cog a bright shiver of electricity would illuminate from the the tear of glass, the electricity never fading but only dulling in light until another cog on the glass ticked keeping the spark alive.
