Thu-thunk
"Ahhh" Elfman groaned feeling something wet drip off his chin, the cold atmosphere freezing his skin and chilling his bare torso, numbing the feeling of something rigid and hard biting into his wrists.
Thu-thunk
Elfman's heart beat thundered in his head each slow and heavy heart beat feeling like a hammer beating into his skull. Lights flashed behind his closed eyelids with the pain as the take over mage became more and more conscious his teeth and jaw throbbing with each pulse from his heart.
Thu-thunk
Memories slowly regathered themselves in Elfman's mind flicking together like a hand drawn movie as his body and mind reawakened, his mind replaying each scene in random orders.
We...we went to the guild.......and then a fight happened with a stranger, who was it? Elfman thought his eyes moving left and right behind closed lids. A face suddenly flashed in his mind a man with dirty white hair, black eyes with pale rings and fish like teeth and evil oozing from his existence.
"Calador" Elfman gasped out suddenly his eyes lurching open as he swung slightly from his suspended chains. Elfman twisted his throbbing head left and right his eyes wide with shock as he observed his new surroundings. Elfman was suspended by his wrists above a bottomless pit each of his chains connected far above with large Tesla coil batteries filled with both electricity and magic, his feet were also connected with these same chains but instead of being pulled into the roof they were cast down deep into the chasm below him quickly disappearing out of sight. The aching in Elfman's head increased as he stared down into the dark chasm his vision spinning as it seemed so endless and deep. Tearing his eyes away from down below Elfman cast his eyes side to side, a long bridge like structure stretched out from a dark wall and a immense arched door way the end of the bridge not two feet away from the suspended mage. The smooth looking walls formed a strange man made cave look as the walls moved in odd angles barely illuminated by some unseen light source. Fear began to take hold of Elfman as he twisted as much as he can trying to find something anything that could tell him where he was or how he can get out. With closed eyes Elfman faced towards the bridge his heart aching as he remembered Evergreen. Her beautiful brown eyes framed with glasses filled his mind. Her eyes held everything he loved despite their danger, he loved the green threads that wove in and out of her eyes blending with the brown. He loved their laughter, their love, their happiness and even their anger that she expressed when around him. Her face began to fill his mind around her eyes, her slightly button nose, her full red soft lips, the way her hair perfectly framed her face with golden brown locks.
"Evergreen" Elfman muttered his head sinking down wards as he thought of her.
"Hmmm Evergreen?"
Elfman gasped and looked back up and into intensely purple eyes that glowed with some unnatural light. The tall figure in tattered council robes cocked his head the dark surgeon mask covering a great deal of his face giving nothing away about him except his eyes that glowed with sadistic amusement the lines around his eyes crinkling further as he began to laugh.
Anger rose aggressively in anger from his laughter a snarl splayed on his lips as he tried to tug one of his hands free.
"My my that is one thing that Calador forgot to mention about you" The man with the horned hair said rubbing his forehead in between snorts of laughter before quickly sobering up.
"Who are you and what do you want from me" Elfman aggressively spat struggling with his chains as magic began to build up in his system as he glared daggers into the man in front of him.
With a sigh the surgeon reached forward a ball of blackness building up in his hand resembling the magic Calador used but more refined until it was the size of a baseball slowly reaching forward he pressed it into the centre of Elfman's chest. Elfman cried out in pain as the black ball sunk into his chest, all the magic he was building up suddenly vanished being replaced with immense pain the shredded his insides causing his cries increase. Then suddenly the pain stopped. Leaving Elfman in a drunken like state as he tried to get his bearings. Groaning from the now unbearable pain in his head Elfman felt a cold hand in a dark glove grab his jaw forcing him to look the magic council member in the eyes.
"There will be more of that later if you do not behave, and if that fails as a threat I can always hurt our dear little Evergreen" The man said with a sinister tone.
Still gasping in pain Elfman forced himself to concentrate "You- leave her out of this...and what is she to you" Elfman said hating the man taunting him with all of his heart for using Evergreen against him. How dare he a real man wouldn't use loved ones to hurt somebody Elfman thought ripping his jaw out of the mans grasp despite the pain the sudden movement caused.
"Well that is amusing because I just asked her the same question, but you don't see the family resemblance?" The man said looking down his noes at Elfman "Well then I guess I should formally introduce myself. My name is Advorsus, head of the science and magical experimentation division in the grand magic council. The leader of the current task of learning the origins of power of the Manticore which is why you are here. But and I think this would be more interesting for you" Advocus said leaning forward so both sets of eyes glared into each other immeasurable amounts of hate glowing from both blue and purple eyes. "I am also Evergreen's father".
Elfman's eyes widened with shock it was if time stood still. No..no he can't be Evergreen's father Elfman thought feeling sick to his stomach. "NO, no you cannot be her father" Elfman yelled in Advorsus's face.
"Oh and why not?"
"Because no father would ever threaten to hurt his own daughter" Elfman growled thrusting his face forward trying to ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach.
"Oh but I hurt her so much as a child after her dearly departed mother died" Advorsus muttered his eyes crinkling from his evil smile "You should of heard her cries, her screams" Advorsus said maliciously his eyes glazing over from the memories.
"That little bitch-"
SMACK
Advorsus cried out in pain staggering backwards his hands clamping over his noes as blood began to drip through the dark cloth covering it.
Elfman drew his face back ignoring the pain the vicious head but caused. His eyes had changed to enormous blue cats eyes, sparks flew as claws grated against the thick heavy chains his words coming out in dark growls full of hatred.
"When I get out of these chains I will kill you" Elfman hissed through pointed teeth.
"Why do you love my daughter so much you will go through so much pain for her?" Advorsus said a deadly calm settling over him his purple eyes sharp and lethal.
"I would do anything for her" Elfman said his body beginning to glow yellow as he began to thrash.
Flaring out his hands two small black magic circles covered the palms of Advorsus's hands and with an almighty crack slammed both of them on either sides of Elfman's head knocking him out cold as his body flickered yellow briefly then faded. With a sigh Advorsus patted Elfman's cheek "It was nice meeting my would've been son in law but I will make sure Evergreen gets your message" He muttered before turning and striding out of the room. "We have work to do in the morning"

Hello I know It's been a while sice I have updated but this took time to write yeah this was a dark chapter but it gave a bit of history on Evergreens half. By the way Advorsus's mask looks like Kakashi's (from naruto) or if you are from the marvel fandom the winter soliders mask. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the chapter I actually had alot of fun writing it despite the darkness,
Lots of love and hugs and cookies for those that read and review Fairychanger :*
