The last wracking scream echoed across Elfman's immense dungeon, the intense screams of pain scarring his voice until it sounded nothing like his own, but of a demented crow's beaten too many times.
"I'm going to ask you once more. Stop resisting or I'm going to take this up another extreme" Advorsus said, flicking his wrist so the magic circles above Elfman disappeared. This is getting tiresome Advorsus thought, if I don't get any further results this experiment may be terminated. And I'd hate for that to happen...I'm enjoying myself too much.
Hot rasping breaths panted out of Elfman's mouth, as hot blood poured down his wrists like waves as the manacles bit deeper into his flesh. For the past day not a word escaped Elfman's mouth except of his screams of pain and torment. Hunger gnawed at his insides savagely, competing for his attention with his dire need for water. Lifting his head up shaky lifts, Elfman watched as Calador entered the room a mysterious large white ceramic urn in his hands, but as Calador approached even more fear and anxiety began to claw his innards because of the intense fear Calador himself looked down at the jug, his fear reflecting off of his fishy black and white eyes.
"Thank you Calador" Advorsus said his purple eyes never leaving Elfman's haggard face as he reached behind and took the large urn. Placing the urn at the end of the bridge close to his feet, Advorsus looked up at Elfman's face once more, "do you know what is in this jug Elfman?".
Elfman's neck muscles screamed as he shook his head the action jostling his ruined shoulders. His throat far to dry and sore to even utter a syllable, nor was he in any frame of mind to be rebellious. Please just make it stop...just stop Elfman thought, his minds own voice sounded tormented and terrified. Through out the whole day Advorsus put him through the most intense and painful tortures he could imagine, each second was and hour and each hour felt like a week as Advorsus continued to torture him with unhidden glee.
"Well trust me you don't want to know. Show me what you can do or else I will open this jar without a second thought".
Trembling in his chains Elfman looked fearfully between Advorsus and the sinister urn, his mind a mess. I don't want anymore pain, please just make it stop Elfman cried in his mind to some unknown deity. Elfman had never pleaded for anything in his life he just never considered it manly, but now... now he felt so empty and hollow and felt so much pain he'd do almost anything for it to stop. Elfman drooped his trembling head down towards the bottomless pit below, not wanting to look at Advorsus' terrible eyes. Blood from his wrists swept down his forearms and over his large biceps, moving downwards in slow thick streams until it pooled over his dislocated shoulders and dripped down into the pit below. Great shuddering breaths escaped his throat as he watched his blood drip down and down like drops of rubies falling down the vast hole, transfixing his shaking eyes. Soft fingers gently gripped his lower jaw and tenderly pulled Elfman's face up.
A gasp ripped it's self from Elfman's lips as Evergreen gently moved away his now filthy white hair from his face, her fingers grazing his cheekbones as his lover flicked the white locks behind his ears. A pitiful cry escaped Elfman's throat inflaming it's pain as he lent towards Evergreen, tears when he thought he had none welled up in his eyes and dripped down onto her smooth hands. A small loving smile graced her beautiful face as the same hand caressed away the tears, Elfman's face leaning into it as it tenderly moved up and down his scar.
"E-E-Ever" Elfman hoarsely whispered more tears spilling over his cheeks as his heart ached with relief.
"That's right I'm here" Evergreen murmured her other hand slowly reaching up.
Elfman sobbed with relief about to accept her left hand when his face froze. Her left hand, the hand she had injured ten months ago had no scar. Growling absolute resent boiled up inside of Elfman as he wrenched his face free from this.. this things grasp. Elfman's vision turned red as the impostor of Evergreen looked at him concernedly, before a wicked smile marred her face, her chocolate brown eyes turning into a luminous purple when she blinked. Ripples like water flowed through her body like somebody had dropped a pebble on her as Evergreen's body was replaced back to Advorsus' chuckling figure, his chest heaving with laughter. How dare he use her Elfman thought, his relief and hope shredded and replaced with hopelessness and hate once more, I shall not give in. I don't care if he uses all of Zeref's book of demons or what ever is in that pot I will not let him have this power NEVER. Hissing at Advorsus Elfman spat globules of blood into his tormentors face, the blood spattering against his surgeons mask and eyes.
