There comes a time in every girls life, when she feels like the world is against her. Yes, everyone. And Lily stood in a locked maths room with a deranged demonic asswipe feeling this emotion, exactly.
"You need to cut the shit." The old dude snarled.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Lily answered.
You know how hard it is not to freak when you can't breathe? Yeah, Mr. Kadon's hand had a quite tight hold on her throat, just barely letting her breathe.
"You don't know what you are getting into. Do you want to die?" He snarled.
Lily struggled to answer that. Did she? Death was final. She wouldn't come back from that.
"Why through your life away? For a boy you don't know? A girl who means nothing to you? People who don't even care about you?"
Lily struggled on, listening but not truly caring what he said.
"The dragon will not rest until Owen is dead. Do you really want to interfere with things you don't understand?"
He released her. The tiny spark of doubt in her head had been planted.
He turned without another word, and instead of using the door, he just faded from sight. Lily sighed as she ran a hand through her hair.
"Fuck."
How do you answer to that? What's the right thing to do? Lily asked herself over and over as she sat silently in her classes and in her room.
Did the rape change her for the worse? Was the determination to be better than her past making her stupid? Was she that twisted?
Danny's boyfriend was officially part of the past, and Riven had asked her not to talk to him as he'd just fallen in love.
She'd become more talkitive and more involved. Whether that was good or bad was a different story.
Could Lily really risk Dannielle like that? If she got drawn into the life she lived, would she survive? Lily was actually thankful for the distance between them. Despite the recent meeting, she already loved the girl, saddening really.
Owen though. He was something else. He hadn't given up on the Immortal kiss thing yet, but something told her she couldn't.
Lily reached for her phone as it lit up. 'Im coming to visit!'
Lily smiled at her friend.
Then she quickly frowned. 'Sure thing, when?'
'I'm here now! Open the door!'
Lily scrambled to open the door and let in her look alike.
A knock at the back door made her freeze. Demons and glowing eyes flashed in her mind. Danny rushed to open the door and Lily almost screamed at the way Danny froze.
"I didn't know you had company." Owen said, his voice shocked. Lily took notice of the blush filling Danny's cheeks and the little smile on Owen's lips.
Her heart dropped. Despite her attraction, and her little emotions for the boy, she realized one thing bigger than herself.
Whether he had a soulmate or not, these two were obviously meant to be together, and he could tell too. Lily saw it, knew it in her head, and finally she realized the blond fallen angel had managed to get her to like him, and this was the meaning of a crush.
After inviting him inside the empty house, Lily managed to fade to the background. Owen left hours later, and Danny had fallen asleep on the couch. Lily laid in her own bed staring at the ceiling.
Was it ok to give that up? Did Danny's happiness come first then?
If this whole thing kills her, will she ever even find something like that? Suddenly, dying didn't sound so bad, if the two of them would be happy together.
Do you want to die? Lily asked herself.
"For their reason, gladly." She whispered.
Yeah, life had twisted her. Officially screwed.
