Three day, out of school detention?" Her dad screamed loudly. "I told you to stay away from that girl!"

Lily heard the speech coming before he spoke an she sighed while repeating.

"You have such potential and that ugly two faced witch is only going to ruin your reputation and your focus, what you need to focus on is your job and your school and a scholarship to the best collage to make a fuck ton of money and have a better life than that jelly rolled bitch."

Her father glared at her. "Dont you mock me, young lady." Lily sighed.

"I am your father, you will show me respect." The warning was clear. Too bad the damage was already done.

You get the respect you deserve. You haven't earned it, you won't ever receive it. The thought went unsaid but she let it go. Her head jerked forward an she hissed in pain as her bump got abused. "Do not ignore me when I'm talking to you!"

"What do you want?"

"What am I supposed to do? Call the school and have them take the punishment off?"

"I dont care."

"I could-" Lily looked at him.

"I don't care what happens. Stop talking." She glared at him, all the aggression she felt toward her own life and circumstance came back to her.

In six days she would be back in school, and she could only guess what she would find in those halls. She focused on the hills as they drove home and fought against her own emotions.
