"Lily!"

It the the last thing she heard before she hit the ground, hard. She rolled to the side, feeling her annoyance level kick another degree.

"What was that for?!" She shouted and glared up at the girl above her.

"Did you hear? Come on! Did you? Did you? Did you?" Lily raised an eyebrow at the hyper little girl in front of her. Vera Global stood in front of her with hyper excitement on her face.

"Hear what?" Lily asked, Sana said, Gale said, is it true or some shit like that.

"Owen dumped Sunday! Like today, and boy is she pissed!" Lily rolled her eyes.

"And? What does that have to do with me?" Vera smirked.

"You can go out with him." Liky shrugged and sighed.

"I don't think so." Vera giggled and stepped away so Lily could start down the hall.

"Lily." A cold and just mean voice called to her from down the hall. Lily turned and looked at Sunday's cold eyes as she stormed up to her. Her fists clenched and she crossed her arms.

"Owen broke up with me." Lily shrugged and nodded.

"Yeah I heard."

"I can't believe it. I mean, we did stuff." Lily raised an eyebrow.

"Stuff like?"

"We didn't have sex, but it was almost like sex. He can't just dump me after that. It's been a week!" Lily fought back a snort.

Did you honestly think sex would make a man stick around? It's Owen! Your lucky he didn't toss you out after the fact. "I'm sorry."

"I think he did it for you. He likes you." Lily smirked.

"No, he doesn't. He needed a good excuse."

"Look, you can't have him. He's going to be mine again, so stay away."

"So I can't talk to him?" Lily asked with a smile.

"I don't want you to talk or touch or text or call him. I will mess you up." She wasn't mean about it, but the threat was beyond clear.

"Good bye Barbie. Good luck with all that." Vera was waitin for her her down the hall, and together they walked to lunch.

"Lily?" She turned around and searched the crowd for the person to say her name. Her eyes met no one and she turned back to walking.

"Lily!" She stopped whirled around.

"What?!" She was tapped on the shoulder and she huffed a breath a she faced them.

"Look, I want to hear you say it." Lily studied the girl in front of her.

Long dark brown hair hung limp in a pale and sickly face. Dark circles framed dull grey eyes and small slightly yellowed teeth chewed on very chapped and bloody lips. A small petite frame was covered by a very large sweatshirt and sweatpants. Even her shoes were slippers. This girl had a slight smell to her, a repelling scent and Lily had to mask her features to keep composure.

"What?"

"Everyone says that you didn't do it. You didn't do the football team. You didn't try to kill anyone. You haven't done anything. I want to hear you say it."

"How do you link into this? Finally seeing truth and can't handle what you've done or are you a passive observer and just look like this all the time?"

"I was Sana's friend. I didn't know. I need to hear it."

"I didn't do it." Lily told her. "I never did and I wouldn't but the opinion of you people never mattered to me. It was funny to watch her lies unfold. Don't feel bad for me, I'm still a bitch." The pity in the girls eyes grated on her nerves.

"You didn't even care?"

"Why should I care about people who don't care for me?" Lily almost laughed. She turned on her heel and walker away, making sure to keep control. Lily cared, but Frost didn't. Too bad Frost melted a while ago.

Frost used to be the original face, but even that didn't last. Pretending is different from blocking. Frost was a shield to the pain, but now she didn't have the energy to bring her back. Lily stopped walking and looked around. She'd walked right past her classroom and now she was at a dead end. There was a small hall that lead to the janitors closet. A very small little opening for mops and shelves of cleaning supplies. Lily turned and prepared to walk back to her class. Until she heard something bang against the door and whimper.

Her class was quite a ways away, this was the part of the high school that had nothing. No one came this way because of the creepy janitor that worked these halls. Class could wait, curiosity only ever killed the cat, and Lily was a wolf.
